Creating Environments.”, clearly describes our design philosophy, which is utilized <br />in our extensive portfolio of municipal streetscape, park, and open space facility projects. Miller Legg has led signifi cant public involvement <br />efforts, carried out required regulatory agency permitting, coordinated bidding activities and conducted construction administration eff orts. <br />Our design philosophy ensures the City’s vision, in correlation with the desires of the stakeholders, the existing natural and built <br />environments, as well as a project’s sustainability and maintenance requirements. <br />When addressing any landscape architecture project, Miller Legg evaluates the project using a select method of steps to achieve the highest <br />quality deliverables for our clients. The Firm’s typical project design process is outlined as: <br />1. Evaluation of Existing Conditions <br />2. Collaboration with Stakeholders <br />3. Design Stage <br />4. Preparation of Construction Documents <br />5. Permitting <br />6. Implementation and Construction <br />Quality Assurance / Quality Control <br />Miller Legg is committed to producing cost-effective and high-quality design deliverables that are achieved through the utilization of specific <br />quality control procedures. Miller Legg’s Quality Control program includes independent review of all documents by a quality control team and <br />a Quality Control Manager, Brian Shore, RLA, to ensure that Miller Legg’s design documents meet quality standards. Miller Legg’s quality <br />control process of checks and balances occurs throughout the design process. This process includes design reviews, plan set compliance <br />with the current requirements, reviews of completed tasks for accuracy and completeness, and digitally documenting all tasks completed. <br />INTERTEK PSI, INC. <br />Environmental Engineering <br />PSI’s Environmental Assessment services will follow a series of steps to assure each project requirement is adequately <br /> addressed. <br />This approach may be summarized as follows: <br />1. Pre-planning activities: Initial Site Visit <br />2. Project schedules <br />3. Regulatory notification: FDEP, USFWS, COE, etc. <br />4. Health & Safety Plan <br />5. Project quality assessment and quality control plan <br />6. Implementation of assessment activities: <br />Soil, Sediment and Surface Water Contamination <br />Possibly - Wetlands <br />Possibly - Cultural Resources <br />7. Corrective action plan development <br />8. Implementation and means to achieve regulatory approval <br />Intertek-PSI prides itself on completing projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. We have developed a strong <br />hands-on management approach and well-defined project management systems that help us meet our client’s goals and provide maximum <br />responsiveness to our client’s expectations of quality and service. PSI provides the requested services in a timely manner to be cost-efficient <br />and effective.
