Aida Rahilmi, PhD, EIT
Engineering Analyst/Technical Support
Summary
Aida is a Water Resources Engineer with experience supporting hydrologic
and hydraulic analysis, stormwater management, flood risk assessment, and
watershed planning projects. She brings strong technical expertise in watershed-
scale modeling, best management practice (BMP) evaluation, and green
stormwater infrastructure (GSI) planning, using tools such as SWMM, SWAT/
SWAT+, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, and Python. Dr. Rahimi’s experience includes
regulatory-focused modeling, infrastructure prioritization, and performance
evaluation of stormwater systems across urban, agricultural, and mixed-use
watersheds. She is recognized for her attention to detail, practical approach to
complex water resource challenges, and ability to deliver clear, implementable
solutions that support project goals from planning through design.
Selected Experience
• Broward County Water and Waste Water PFAS Removal at WTP-1A
and WTP-2A, Broward County, FL.
• City of Fort Lauderdale I&I Program, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Other Expertise
• Performed SSES inspection on private systems in Miami Dade County,
help prepare reports and provide repair recommendations to client.
• Evaluated the sanitary sewer onsite via CCTV and provided repair
recommendations to client.
• Experience in the planning, design, and analysis of stormwater and
drainage systems for urban and mixed-use environments, with a strong
understanding of local and state regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in watershed-scale hydrologic and hydraulic
modeling to support flood risk assessments and the evaluation of
infrastructure adjacent to rivers, channels, and transportation corridors.
• Proven ability to support feasibility and condition assessments for
rehabilitation and new development projects, integrating technical
analysis with regulatory and permitting considerations.
• Experience reviewing engineering designs for technical accuracy, code
compliance, and constructability, supporting quality control and risk
reduction for project teams.
• Familiarity with piping system design coordination and construction
oversight, ensuring conformance with design intent, technical standards,
and project requirements.
