Generator upgrades were required to incorporate emergency and <br />critical loads which also included replacing existing switchgear. SGM was also responsible for upgrading interior and <br />exterior lighting fixtures for a more energy-efficient system. Projects completed under this contract have included: <br />MDC MDC KC Replacement of Existing Pedestrian Walkway Pole-Mounted <br />Fixtures <br />Cost: $100,000 Completion Date: Nov. 2023 <br />Description: The project included site verification of existing electrical equipment <br />and the design for replacing four solar-powered lighting fixtures with new LED pole- <br />mounted fixtures. It involved extending the existing underground circuit, specifying <br />proper mounting, ensuring code-compliant lighting levels, and providing construction <br />specifications, submittal reviews, and two site visits for conformance. <br />MDC Wolfson Campus Building 3000 - 40 Year Recertification <br />Cost: $12,000 Completion Date: Dec. 2023 <br />Description: SGM provided engineering services for the 40 year recertification of Building <br />3000 at the Wolfson Campus. We provided a review of available record drawings, and <br />performed inspections of the buildings. Our inspection was based on the “Minimum <br />Inspection Procedural Guidelines for Building Structural Recertification” as published by <br />the Miami-Dade Building & Neighborhood Compliance Department. We also issued a <br />written report.
