Our inspection was based on the “Minimum Inspection Procedural Guidelines for Building Structural <br />Recertification” as published by the Miami-Dade Building & Neighborhood Compliance Department. We also <br />issued a written report. <br />MDC North Building 5000 – Structural Repairs <br />Cost: $25,000 Completion Date: Sept. 2024 <br />Description: SGM’s scope of services included an assessment of Building 5000. It included categorizing the repair <br />types, providing repair details for each condition, and tabulating quantities for use in obtaining bids for the repairs. <br />Our services also included design and preparation of the structural repair drawings and specifications, attending <br />periodic design and coordination meeting during the preparation of the documents and construction administration. <br />We also completed a total of 8 inspections. <br />MDC Multiple Sites - Economic Generator Study - Load Control <br />Cost: $51,725 Completion Date: Nov. 2021 <br />Description: SGM provided MEP services for the economic generator study. The study aimed to assess the cost of <br />adding load to 18 existing generators eligible for load control based on their rated size. It involved a comprehensive <br />evaluation, including site investigations, load studies to determine spare capacity, and recommendations for generators <br />suitable for load control. The study also provided permitted plans, installation cost estimates, and potential savings <br />from FPL’s Load Control Program. Additionally, it assessed the current condition of the power generation systems at <br />these sites, identify necessary modifications to maximize load without overloading, and evaluate power monitoring <br />metering. <br />F. Generator upgrades were required to incorporate emergency and <br />critical loads which also included replacing existing switchgear. SGM was also responsible for upgrading interior and <br />exterior lighting fixtures for a more energy-efficient system.
