ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS <br />31 <br />FIU MMC BT-887 SIPA II - 2nd Floor Modification into SIPA I <br />Cost: $225,000 Completion Date: Sept. 2024 <br />SGM provided engineering and architectural services for modifying the second floor of the SIPA I building to <br />improve connectivity with the SIPA II building at the Modesto Maidique Campus in Miami, Florida. The scope <br />included architectural design for wall, door, and ceiling modifications to establish a clear pathway between the <br />buildings. Engineering services addressed the relocation and adjustment of existing wall- and ceiling-mounted <br />devices to accommodate the new layout. Additionally, the project included the preparation of book specifications, <br />submittal reviews during construction, and two 2-hour site visits to ensure substantial conformance. <br />FIU MMC CP Building Elevator #1 and #2 Upgrade <br />Cost: $425,000 Completion Date: Sept. 2024 <br />SGM provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the elevator upgrades in the CP Building. SGM <br />attended a site visit to assess the existing mechanical and electrical service conditions for the elevator machine room. <br />The scope involved creating demolition drawings, designing and specifying the modernization of the elevator, and <br />reviewing Florida Code requirements for elevator landing lighting levels. Fire alarm provisions were addressed as <br />needed, and the existing electrical service capacities were verified to support the new equipment. Construction <br />administration services included responding to RFIs, reviewing drawing submittals, and evaluating contractor pay <br />requests. <br />FIU CASE Building Elevator Upgrade <br />Cost: $250,000 Completion Date: Sept. 2024 <br />SGM provided MEP engineering and construction administration services for the elevator upgrades in the CASE <br />Building. We conducted a site visit to verify the existing mechanical and electrical conditions of the elevator machine <br />room. We then prepared demolition drawings and designs and specification for the elevator modernization.
