2. QUALIFICATIONS
40SRS Engineering, Inc.• RFQ No. 26-07-01
2. QUALIFICATIONS _______________
WHY SRS IS BEST QUALIFIED TO PERFORM THIS CONTRACT
SRS offers the City a firm that is large enough to carry multiple
simultaneous task orders and small enough that the President
personally reviews the work. Five things distinguish this team for Sunny
Isles Beach specifically:
„Coastal drainage and flood resilience is our strongest technical
suit. Sunny Isles Beach’s drainage system operates against a high
water table and tidal tailwater. Our APWA-award-winning Cutler
Ridge Pines project, our tidal-influenced drainage work on NW 7th
Street Road in the City of Miami (outfall to the Seybold Canal, raised
sidewalk backs, upsized conveyance, sheet-flow control onto private
property), and our stormwater work across nine municipalities are
directly transferable.
„One firm covers civil, survey and CEI. SRS performs roadway and
drainage design, water and sewer design, boundary and topographic
surveying, subsurface utility engineering, and construction
engineering and inspection in house. For a continuing contract that
is dispatched by task order, that removes hand-offs and shortens
response time.
„Regulatory fluency with every agency named in the evaluation
criteria. We routinely permit through Miami-Dade RER/DERM,
Miami-Dade DTPW (including the Traffic Engineering Division
and the Highway Construction and Engineering Division), Miami-
Dade WASD, FDOT, SFWMD, FDEP and the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers. Our NW 138th Street project required City, Hialeah
Gardens, Miami-Dade County, DERM, FDOT, SFWMD, ACOE and
DEP approvals, including an Environmental Resource Permit with
cut-and-fill calculations and wetland mitigation.
„FDOT pre-qualification and LAP experience. SRS is an FDOT pre-
qualified firm and is familiar with FDOT LAP requirements, having
completed the W 53rd Street Roadway Improvement design for
the City of Hialeah under ARRA/LAP guidelines and provided LAP
CEI for the I-75 Ramp/NW 138th Street, W 4th Avenue and Ponce
de Leon Boulevard projects. This matters on a barrier island where
Collins Avenue and A1A are state facilities.
„Continuity of the same team. The project managers and engineers
proposed here have delivered continuing-services contracts
together for Cutler Bay, Miami, South Miami, Hialeah, Miami Shores
Village and Miami Dade DTPW and WASD. City staff will not spend
time guiding our group.
NE 26th Ave Drainage Systems Improvements
NW 138th Street Drainage Improvements
Arch Creek Drainage Improvements
West Dixie Highway Roadway Improvements
