2. QUALIFICATIONS
43SRS Engineering, Inc.• RFQ No. 26-07-01
2. QUALIFICATIONS _______________
Corrosion and material life. Salt air and brackish groundwater shorten the life of standard materials.
Specification choices for structures, hardware, coatings and pipe materials materially affect the City’s
maintenance cost.
Layered permitting with long review cycles. RER/DERM, FDOT, SFWMD, FDEP and ACOE reviews are on the
critical path more often than design is. Pre-application coordination is the single highest-leverage schedule
control available.
Resiliency and grant funding. Federal and state resilience funding carries documentation, reporting and
eligibility requirements. Getting that right at scoping avoids reimbursement problems later.
