He brings in-depth knowledge of complex land use issues, including local zoning ordinances, land development regulations, comprehensive plans, master planning, and Developments of Regional Impact (DRIs). Known for his thorough and detail-oriented approach, Eddy offers technical expertise in guiding applicant requests through every phase of the land development process. His work spans site evaluations, due diligence, land use analysis, technical reviews, staff memorandum reports, and crafting ordinances. Eddy holds a CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) certification from Florida Atlantic University and is fluent in both English and Spanish. NUÑEZ <br />URBAN PLANNER <br />EXPERIENCE <br />Village of Miami Shores, Miami Shores, FL | Interim Planning Director - Corradino is tasked with the overall administration, management and operations for the Village’s Planning, Zoning, and Resiliency Department. Eddy currently serves as the Interim Director, where responsibilities include overseeing technical site plan reviews, interpretation of the code of ordinances and comprehensive plan, managing departmental logistics, and processing development applications, resolutions, and ordinances through the public hearing process. He collaborates closely with the Village Council, Planning & Zoning Board, Village Manager’s Office, and community stakeholders on all planning and zoning matters. Eddy played a key role in the adoption of a highly debated CR District code text amendment, which created a development pathway for approximately 23 acres of Barry University-owned land to support a proposed 277-unit townhouse residential subdivision. In an effort to preserve the character of Miami Shores, he facilitated over 23 hours of community engagement workshops spanning six months, ultimately building consensus and guiding the amendment to approval. Eddy is assisting Miami Shores Village with the comprehensive update and rewrite of the single-family Residential “R” zoning district regulations as part of the Village’s broader Land Development Code modernization effort. His work includes organizing and facilitating a series of public input workshops to gather community feedback on proposed text changes addressing home size, bulk, scale, and neighborhood compatibility. The initiative seeks to preserve the Village’s distinct architectural character while integrating updated planning standards, resiliency considerations, and contemporary development practices.
