Drafted new policies for each element based on the findings from the public workshops and the needs of the local government. Incorporated sustainable development aspects throughout the Plan update. <br />City of Dania Beach, Electric Vehicle Ordinance, Dania Beach, FL | Planning Consultant - Analyzed the existing city code of ordinances and researched best practices across the nation and in other Florida cities to properly draft and create a new electric vehicle charging station ordinance for the city. Incorporated a leveling system to the types of chargers allowed, fire safe practices and building requirements for new developments and within the types of land uses. <br />City of Miramar, COA of Transit System, Miramar, FL | Transportation Planner - Conducted a comprehensive operations analysis of the city of Miramar's Community Shuttle program. The analysis included extensive data collection of the city, with existing, past, and future models taken into account. Conducted on-site surveys of the transit system that included bus driver and passenger interviews. Attended and hosted public engagement workshops to gather resident feedback. Produced recommendations for the City on how to improve the transit system and drafted new routes that would maximize ridership and improve resident satisfaction. <br />City of Dania Beach, P&Z Consultant Services, Dania Beach, FL | Planning Consultant - Assisted the Dept of Community Development on various items including, Temporarily In-House Planner work that included building permit reviews, assisting the public with zoning inquiries, and training new hires keeping the Planning and Zoning Division operating during a time of staff transitions. Performed major development reviews that included ensuring the developments adhered to the city's Land Development Code, state and local requirements, and the city's Comprehensive Plan policies. Created new ordinances to update city regulations in response to evolving needs. These ordinances included amendments for Electric Vehicle Charging, Tiny Homes and Micro Housing Development, and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs.) <br />City of Miami, Miami Downtown Transportation Plan (2050 LRTP), Miami, FL | Transportation Planner - Assisted the Miami Transportation Planning Organization in drafting its Downtown Miami Micromobility Master Plan. This involved analyzing the past 2003 Transportation Master Plan and highlighting what recommendations have and have not been implemented. Conducting a feasibility analysis of uncompleted recommendations for their implementation into the 2045 Long-Range Transportation Planning. Researching technologies, innovations, and best practices globally for micromobility improvements that can be implemented in Downtown Miami. <br />City of Panama Beach, CRA Improvement Project, Panama Beach, FL | Urban Planner - Assisted with the data collection of the parking inventory across all of Panama City Beach by analyzing aerial photography that consisted of low and high season photos at several intervals throughout a weekday and a weekend day. Compiled the results of the parking data to help provide solutions to the city government. <br />City of North Bay Village, Parking Study, North Bay Village, FL | Urban Planner - Conducted a comprehensive parking analysis of Treasure Island. Researched the existing and future land uses to determine parking demand in the coming years. Utilized drone data collection to gather hour by hour parking data across the study area. Engaged in public meetings and used survey data to gather resident input.
