<br />transit options, implementation of Complete Streets, improved internal circulation, and technology-driven traffic operations, while coordinating transportation investments with redevelopment, resiliency, and the Urban Village/Town Center vision. Our team recognizes that successful transportation projects in Sunny Isles Beach require balancing mobility, safety, accessibility, aesthetics, resiliency, and constructability within a highly constrained urban environment while maintaining close coordination with FDOT, Miami-Dade County, adjacent municipalities, utility providers, and the public. Corradino currently assists the City with Planning and Development reviews and other key transportation policies that shape the City’s future.
<br />Our goal is to assist the City in achieving the Transportation Master Plan’s objectives by providing efficient solutions that support transportation infrastructure improvements. Corradino strives to create infrastructure that is not only cost-effective and efficient but also practical, ultimately improving the quality of life for residents of the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
<br />This type of contract is a master contract that will include task work order assignments. The RFQ notes that the Transportation, Transit, and Traffic Engineering Services may include field data collection and analysis to prepare traffic studies, signal timing and design, capacity analysis, circulation studies, and pavement markings/signing. Corradino recognizes that each project’s budget is limited. Therefore, our recommendations will be specifically tailored to meet the city’s needs within that budget. Our recommendations take into account not only construction costs but also permit and design fees. We share the following detailed project approach and methodology to ensure we can continue to provide these Transportation, Transit, and Traffic Engineering Services to the City.
<br />| THE CORRADINO TEAM VISION, IDEAS, AND METHODOLOGY
<br />Our approach combines outstanding leadership and experienced personnel with a record of success in contract administration on similar on-call continuing services contracts. Our key leadership for this project draws on the expertise and experience of our Project Manager, Eric Czerniejewski, PE, ENV SP, and the strong support of lead experts across the various disciplines. As the overall Project Manager, Eric will ensure resources are used most effectively and efficiently and serve as the primary liaison with the City throughout the contract. Eric will utilize his background as a licensed professional engineer and extensive experience in planning, designing, and constructing municipal projects to ensure all work authorization projects are successful. Corradino has excellent support and specialty staff for the many facets of this contract (e.g., development peer review teams, roadway design engineers, urban designers and placemakers, signal retiming engineers, signal design engineers, PD&E and modeling experts, etc.). These key individuals have worked together on hundreds of studies and infrastructure design projects and will work together to handle all aspects of contract administration for this contract. The Project Manager and Discipline Lead will establish the scope of work and the associated fees and costs for the City’s review and approval. The project manager is also responsible for establishing the timeline and assigning tasks to the staff members. Each work authorization will accompany a schedule and budget for the City’s review and approval.
<br />Task Work Order Assignments
<br />Corradino’s general approach to design development and construction-related projects is outlined below. Although the design requirements, procedures, and engineering products may vary from one project type to another, Corradino adheres to a standardized project approach that provides a timely and cost-effective design solution for each task authorization. Corradino’s experience with similar continuing professional services contracts enables our Team of professionals to maintain multiple short, overlapping project schedules on simultaneous assignments while efficiently providing the required engineering services. Variations will occur depending on the specific requirements of the work order assignment. Our team’s experience in South Florida demonstrates how our process ensures proper coordination of tasks and work order assignments. This experience gives us an unparalleled familiarity with the required methods and the opportunity to utilize lessons learned and proven procedures to develop a set of contract documents that will be functional, cost-effective, biddable, constructible, and maintainable.
