Corradino’s team of professional traffic engineers, transportation planners, and technical experts will attend these public hearings and other associated meetings to respond to questions regarding the application, including a summary of all traffic review comments issued and/or the recommendations and results of the prepared traffic impact study. Corradino can serve as the technical expert for the traffic impact study and, as necessary, as the City’s independent traffic reviewer. Corradino will create a detailed record of the peer review in the form of a technical memorandum, including comments from the City’s traffic review consultant and responses from the applicant’s traffic consultant. The history of the comment review period is documented in this technical memorandum and is usually included in the staff report for the related development or redevelopment application. The schedule is paramount, and the Corradino Team is committed to meeting all deadlines for submitting traffic impact studies and/or traffic review comments as part of the City of Sunny Isles Beach’s Development Review Process. <br />| TRANSPORTATION DEMAND MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES <br />Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Strategies are proposed for development projects to reduce the impacts of project traffic on the surrounding road network. The typical measures tend to promote bicycle and walking use, transit use, car/vanpooling, and alternatives to typical work hours. Often, the most cost-effective way to solve a transportation problem is to manage demand. TDM focuses on helping people change their travel behavior to meet their travel needs by using different modes, traveling at different times, making fewer trips or shorter trips, or taking different routes. Such actions can include offering commuters one or more alternative transportation modes and/or <br />services; providing incentives to travel on these modes or during non-congested hours; providing opportunities to link better or “chain” trips; and/or incorporating growth management or traffic impact policies into local development decisions. Corradino is familiar with TDM measures and has included them in recent development projects. The following TDM measures were recently recommended for a local project: <br />• Providing a bicycle rack with 16 short-term bicycle parking spaces on-site;• Subsidized transit passes for residents and/or employees;• Subsidized bicycle purchases for employees; and• Subsidized scooter fuel and designated scooter parking spaces . <br />The site plan needs to be coordinated to ensure the effective integration of these items into the project. The location of the bicycle rack and scooter parking spaces will need to be determined to maintain the most efficient vehicular circulation and ensure the safety of all site users. <br />| TRAFFIC DATA COLLECTION <br />Corradino will work with our subconsultant, CTS Engineering, Inc., to provide the necessary traffic data collection for all task work orders. The Corradino Team can provide field vehicles, traffic counters, video cameras, and drones (for capturing origin-destination data, turning movements, pedestrian/bike activity, and spot speed studies). Corradino has licensed drone pilots available to collect traffic data from aerial perspectives, enhancing coverage and accuracy in complex or constrained environments. The Corradino Team has the capacity to collect a wide range of additional traffic, behavioral, and contextual data tailored to unique study objectives. This includes queue lengths, vehicle classification, travel time, intersection occupancy, and dwell time. The Corradino Team is also equipped to conduct near-miss analyses at intersections, leveraging video analytics and drone footage to proactively identify safety risks and operational deficiencies before they result in crashes. These proactive insights support data-driven safety countermeasures and are especially valuable for Vision Zero and Safe System strategies. <br />| CORRIDOR STUDIES <br />Traffic studies can take many forms, but essentially they aim to determine the impact of a development or project (transportation or otherwise) on the transportation system. To do this, a comparative analysis must be undertaken. These always begin with data collection to understand how the system performs under the existing
