It also improved the roadway cross-slope in areas that did not meet the required standards. Existing traffic roundabouts and chicanes were reconstructed by removing the current curbing and stone pavers, which were replaced with new curbing and colored patterned pavement.
Minor modifications to the storm drainage system were made to accommodate the new curbing; however, the overall drainage system remained unchanged. Additionally, the existing pedestrian ramps were updated to comply with current ADA standards, and new signs and pavement markings were installed along the corridor. Some existing trees were trimmed to enhance sight distance and visibility.
CLIENT NAMECLIENT NAMEVillage of Key Biscayne
ADDRESSADDRESS88 West McIntyre Street, Suite 250 Key Biscayne, FL 33149
CONTACT PERSONCONTACT PERSONChristopher Miranda Director of Public Works
PHONE NUMBERPHONE NUMBER 305.365.7568
EMAIL EMAIL cmiranda@keybiscayne.fl.gov
PROJECT START DATEPROJECT START DATE 01/13/2025
PROJECT COMPLETION DATEPROJECT COMPLETION DATE
01/15/2026
CONTRACT TYPE CONTRACT TYPE Design,Bid,
and Construction
PROJECT COST PROJECT COST Design Fee $129,305
SCOPE OF SERVICESCOPE OF SERVICEPrepare Construction Documents for The Harbor Drive Improvements
TRAFFIC CALMING INFRASTRUCTURE ENHANCEMENTS
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE
