Luis also has a deep understanding of Milling and Resurfacing (M&R), road rehabilitation, and maintenance techniques. MDC-DTPW, Snowden Pedestrian Bridge over the C-100 Canal Luis Membreno serves as the Senior Bridge Inspector for the Snowden Pedestrian Bridge being built just north of Southwest 174th Street over the Cutler Drain Canal (C-100), replacing an older bridge with a narrow pedestrian walkway. The new structure will be 12 feet wide to accommodate two-way pedestrian and cyclist traffic. In addition to the bridge itself, the project includes several enhancements, such as improved lighting along the trail and bridge, clearer signage and pavement markings, upgraded drainage to manage stormwater runoff, and landscaping to beautify the area. These improvements aim to enhance connectivity and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists and to promote active lifestyles among residents. Luis is responsible for maintaining constant coordination with residents, maintaining daily work reports, photo documentation, all VT testing requirements, and tracking quantities for estimate cut-off, as well as participating in all progress meetings in this high-visibility project. Military Trail to a point 120’ west of Quail Drive. Additionally, a 6’ wide sidewalk will be constructed on the south side of Cherry Road, covering the same stretch from N. Military Trail to Quail Drive, with the exception of the segment that crosses Bridge No. 934229.
