He is highly skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously <br />across the mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering disciplines. Having <br />contributed to more than 3,000 projects during his career with SGM, he possesses a <br />comprehensive understanding of both the design and construction industries. <br />Mr. Shahnami brings a diverse combination of public- and private-sector senior <br />management and executive leadership experience, providing creative and strategic <br />solutions to clients throughout his 27+ year career. As President, he is responsible <br />for the firm’s overall performance and remains actively engaged with clients and <br />project teams on a daily basis. His experience encompasses projects with a combined <br />construction value exceeding $5 billion. He also brings more than 27 years of experience <br />in engineering and MEP quality control, including over 18 years as a commissioning <br />agent for educational facilities. <br />His technical expertise includes supporting energy savings of up to 50 percent relative <br />to ASHRAE 90.1 baselines, troubleshooting complex hydronic and airside systems, <br />and seamlessly integrating devices that use BACnet, LonTalk, Modbus, and other <br />common open protocols into unified building control systems. His Florida portfolio <br />includes projects in Miami, Santa Rosa, Palm Bay, Key Biscayne, and numerous other <br />communities throughout the state. His public-sector, municipal, and government- <br />facility experience includes serving as Engineer of Record for projects throughout <br />Central, South, and North Florida, including Orange, Brevard, Manatee, Osceola, <br />Lake, Volusia, and Miami-Dade counties.
