<br />Professional Experience
<br /> Mr. Kumar Vedula, P.E., Principal Engineer of TSFGeo, is a Florida Registered Professional Engineer, has over 30 years of experience providing engineering services for a wide variety of geotechnical projects involving foundation design, slope stability analysis, WEAP analysis and interpreting PDA reports, excavation support, and construction inspection. Mr. Vedula’s extensive experience includes foundation inspections (shallow and deep foundations), soil modification (dynamic compaction, stone columns), preloading, excavations, backfilling, and post construction monitoring. He has served as a principal inspector on numerous surcharging and settlement evaluations of organic laden soils assignments. His project experience includes 300+ geotechnical engineering studies for various projects types including parks, piers, shoreline stabilization, dredging, bridges, roadways, utilities, high rise buildings, schools, and government facilities. Mr. Vedula has authored, and co-authored papers published in national and international publications.
<br />Relevant Project Experience SFWMD Structures S-28, A, B and C, Miami-Dade County, Florida. Mr. Vedula served as the Principal Engineer for the Geotechnical Engineering Services for canal improvements for SFWMD Structures S-28 located in Miami-Dade County. The project consisted of new box culverts and a new power supply to the alignment. Provided a geotechnical engineering report which included evaluations and recommendations regarding subsurface considerations, canal alterations, structure design, borrow materials along with construction issues. Community Center, Miami-Dade County, Florida. Mr. Vedula served as the Principal Engineer for the Geotechnical Engineering Study for the community center located in Miami-Dade County. The project consisted of a 2-story structure with the ground floor as parking. Provided a geotechnical engineering report which included evaluations and recommendations regarding site preparation, foundations, ground floor slabs, utilities, and construction excavation and dewatering. La Pastorita Neighborhood Roadway Improvements, Miami-Dade County, Florida. Mr. Vedula served as the Principal Engineer for the Geotechnical Engineering Study for La Pastorita Neighborhood located in Miami-Dade County. The project consisted of roadway and drainage improvements. The study was performed to obtain information on the existing subsurface conditions at the project site to assist in the design and preparation of construction plans. Provided a geotechnical engineering report which included evaluations and recommendations regarding groundwater conditions, soil suitability and construction excavation and dewatering. SW 32nd Avenue from Flagler Street to SW 2nd Street, Miami, Florida. Mr. Vedula served as the Principal Engineer for the Geotechnical Engineering Study for SW 32nd Avenue from Flagler Street to SW 2nd Street located in Miami, Florida. Provided a geotechnical engineering report which included a summary of the subsurface investigation and laboratory tests. Turnpike SPUR from I-95 to Golden Glades Toll Plaza, Miami-Dade County. Mr. Vedula served as the Principal Engineer for the Geotechnical Engineering Services for the project which consisted of improvements including modification and widening to the existing roadways at the Golden Glade Interchange area. Provided a geotechnical engineering report which included evaluations and recommendations regarding treatment of organic soils and plastic soils, permanent cut and fill slopes, excavations, groundwater control, resilient modulus test results for pavement design, on-site soil suitability and existing structure monitoring.
