Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting January 15,2015 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida <br /> 10K. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida,Ratifying an <br /> Agreement with The Miami Herald Publishing Company,for Retail Advertising Services <br /> in 2015, in an Amount Not to Exceed $45,000.00, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; <br /> Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; <br /> Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and reported. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Aelion moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution. Resolution No. 2015-2374 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> 11. MOTIONS <br /> None <br /> 12. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> 12A. Discussion on Improvements to Golden Shores; Presentation by the Sunny Isles Beach <br /> Golden Shores Association, Inc. <br /> Action: Commissioner Levin reported,noting that she moved to Sunny Isles Beach in 1994 <br /> and she has always been attracted to Golden Shores and interested in the neighborhood. As <br /> time has gone on and the City has grown and changed and has been improved, Golden <br /> Shores seems to have been left behind. The homeowners have agreed and a few of them took <br /> the initiative to form the Sunny Isles Beach Golden Shores Association. This is not a <br /> mandatory Association, this is strictly voluntary, and the homeowners can get involved or <br /> not,join or not, and as with any group of people, not everybody is going to agree. There is <br /> always going to be people speaking out on opposite sides. The President of the Association, <br /> Juan Crespi,told her that with all the email addresses he has gotten from residents in Golden <br /> Shores, which she thinks are over 100, he sent out an email notifying everybody that they <br /> were going to come and speak tonight so that everyone would have that opportunity to speak. <br /> There will be 3 or 4 people speaking on behalf of the Association and then there have been a <br /> number of people who have signed up to speak. <br /> Commissioner Levin also noted that there are one or two pump stations in Golden Shores, <br /> which are from Miami-Dade Water and Sewer,who have put together a program where they <br /> are going to go around to all the pump stations in Miami-Dade County and beautify them. <br /> Public Speakers: Juan Crespi;Jacqueline Branigan; Steven Ortiz; Steve Trattner;Rumiana <br /> Grozdanova;Larisa Suechin;Marianna Talalaevsky;Elizabeth Trattner;Jerry Joseph;Willi <br /> Gudat; Michael Polikar; Raymonde Duplain <br /> Commissioner Levin introduced Juan Crespi who is giving a Powerpoint presentation. Juan <br /> Crespi said he has been a resident of Golden Shores for 23 years, and he handed out the <br /> Powerpoint presentation to the Commission. He is here tonight to introduce to the <br /> Commission their organization which is the Sunny Isles Beach Golden Shores Association, <br /> 11 <br />
