<br />During his 27 -year career with the Kiewit Companies, Bert has gained
<br />experience in all aspects of health and safety, EEO and environmental
<br />compliance through his work in 12 states across the U.S. Bert specializes
<br />in analyzing heavy civil construction hazards, formulating preventative
<br />solutions, and providing training and management of safety programs.
<br />As Senior Safety Manager, Bert is responsible for assisting with the day -to-
<br />day implementation of the company safety values and program, ensuring that everyone understands and
<br />practices Kiewit's goal of "Nobody Gets Hurt ". He routinely makes inspections of active work areas to verify
<br />safety plan compliance and consistent safety practices. Bert also inspects the safety and health performance
<br />of subcontractors and notifies subcontractors of non - compliance with established safety and health rules
<br />or procedures. He assists in the safety program's overall implementation - including indoctrination of new
<br />employees into Kiewit's safety culture, and promotes a strong safety attitude among all employees.

<br />Bert will be responsible for the day -to -day implementation of the company safety values and program,

<br />Safety Manager, Airfield Repairs 2013, City of Atlanta H -JAIA, Atlanta, GA, $3.7 M
<br />Bert served as Safety Manager on this project that is located in the airside operations area and aircraft
<br />movement area of the H JAIA. Bert's duties include overseeing the overall safety plan and how it is carried
<br />out. The project includes repairs to trench drains, joint sealing, spalls, and full depth concrete slabs. Additional
<br />scope includes striping, marking, selective grading, and runway and taxiway visual enhancements.
<br />Safety Director, Airfield Repairs 2011, City of Atlanta H -JAIA, Atlanta, GA, $4 M
<br />He was Safety Director, which included managing the project safety plan and implementation. This project
<br />was located in the airside operations area (AOA) of the H -JAIA and includes repairs to trench drains, spalls
<br />and full depth concrete slabs. Additional scope includes selective grading, striping, wind cone relocation,
<br />and additional taxiway guidance signs. Major quantities include 3,000 SF of spall repairs, 400 LF of trench
<br />drain repairs, 833 SY of full depth slab replacements, 8 wind cone relocations.
<br />Safety Manager, Inter - county Connector (ICC) Contract B, Maryland State Highway Authority,
<br />Baltimore, MD $560 Million
<br />In his role as Safety Manager, Bert was responsible for ensuring a safe work environment for more than 400
<br />--raft and staff and more than 100 subcontractors constructing this seven - mile -long, six -lane toll road. His
<br />duties included implementing and supporting the safety programs, policies, procedures and training for
<br />all staff. The work includes 2.4 million CY of excavation, 1.7 million CY of embankment, 500,000 SY of new
