<br /> <br />gained extensive experience in the design and construction of earth retention <br />and specialty deep foundation systems. Dr. Garbin was the lead design engineer <br />for major specialty geotechnical construction projects across the country, and <br />has also completed projects in Central America and the Caribbean. In January <br />of 2015, Dr. Garbin joined Earth Tech as Vice President of Engineering & <br />Technology. At Earth Tech he serves as the company’s lead technical authority <br />for specialty geotechnical construction projects in the U.S. and the Caribbean. <br />His practical and diverse background allows him to bring a unique perspective to <br />the design, construction and testing of complex and innovative geotechnical <br />systems. Dr. Garbin is a Board Certified Geotechnical Engineer. <br /> <br /> <br />Michael Simpson, PE: Michael graduated from Auburn University in 2003 with <br />his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering. His studies <br />focused on geotechnical Engineering with an emphasis on drilled shafts. After <br />college, Michael moved to Tampa, Florida where he joined Qore Property <br />Sciences, specializing in local geotechnical consulting services. His duties <br />included developing work scopes, estimates, project management, engineering <br />evaluations and recommendations for geotechnical explorations. Michael left <br />consulting in 2005 and joined the Florida branch of Hayward Baker as a Project <br />Manager. During his nearly 10 years with Hayward baker, Michael gained <br />valuable experience primarily in ground improvement projects located in Florida, <br />East Georgia, and Puerto Rico. He prepared cost estimates, proposals and <br />designs and managed Vibro Compaction, Vibro Replacement, Compaction Grout <br />and Rigid Inclusion Projects. At the end of 2014, Michael joined Earth Tech as a <br />Senior Project Manager. His duties at Earth Tech remain focused on the ground <br />improvement market. Michael is currently a registered Professional Engineer in <br />the State of Florida. <br /> <br /> <br />John Barnes: John Barnes is involved in every stage of the projects he <br />manages including; estimating, assisting in the design, contracting, coordinating, <br />scheduling, budgeting and overseeing construction. John has over 10 years’ <br />experience in deep foundation construction and his been involved in many <br />projects both large and small covering a wide variety of fields. John currently <br />holds Earth Tech’s General Contractor’s License in South Carolina. <br /> <br /> <br />Mark Plaskett, PE: Mark graduated from the University of South Florida in 1989 <br />with his Bachelor of science in Civil Engineering with studies focused on <br />Geotechnical Engineering. During Mark’s almost 20 years at Hayward Baker, <br />Mark specialized in the ground improvement side of the business working on <br />project throughout the Southeastern United States, the Caribbean, and Central <br />America. In addition to Project Management, Mark was also involved in <br />Business Development. In 2015, Mark decided to pursue an opportunity as a <br />Senior Project Manager with Earth Tech. His duties will remain focused on the <br />ground improvement market. Mark is a registered Professional Engineer in the <br />State of Florida. He currently serves as Chairperson for the local ASCE Geo <br />Institute and is also a member of the Florida Engineering Society. <br /> <br /> <br />
