Bud has worked in both the design and
construction fields of Civil Engineering with national design consulting firms and
construction companies. Mr. Khouri, PE technical experience includes:
Concrete and steel bridges, box culverts, conventional and MSE retaining walls
and bridge abutments, load test programs of deep foundations, deep foundation
installation, ground improvement techniques such as Vibro Replacement Stone
Columns and Vibro Compaction, Cement Sand Vertical Columns, deep cut off
walls, Augercast Piles, subsurface investigations, and research and testing of
post grouted drilled shafts

Jon Wiksten: Jon Wiksten has over 30 years of experience in field supervision
and management within the foundation construction industry. Jon’s construction
and technical experience include: Vibro Replacement, Vibro Compaction, Ductile
Iron Piles, Micro Piles, Drilled Shafts, and Augercast in place piles, Cement Sand
Vertical Columns, Deep Cut off walls, Rock Anchors and many other soil
improvement and deep foundation services.

Dr. Ed Garbin, Ph.D, PE, D.GE: Having first acquired a diverse construction
background, Dr. Garbin earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Civil
Engineering from the University of South Florida (Tampa). While doing so, he
worked for Applied Foundation Testing, helping to establish their Tampa office.
He specialized in instrumentation, data acquisition and full-scale testing of deep
foundations and other geotechnical systems. Thereafter, Dr. Garbin joined the
Tampa branch of Universal Engineering Sciences, ultimately managing the
geotechnical and drilling departments for several years. Concurrently he taught
structural and geotechnical engineering courses as an adjunct at USF. In 2007
Dr. Garbin left consulting and academia to return to his construction roots,
accepting a position with Hayward Baker as Chief Engineer of the Southern
Region. He focused on solving complex geotechnical problems using innovative
ground improvement systems, often for remediation of very soft soils. He also
