Contract number of referred project: FDOT Financial Project ID NO. 420809-3-52-01 <br /> <br />2. Description and location of work: <br /> <br />Design, Build, Finance and Maintain, I-595 Roadway Widening Project for the Florida Department of <br />Transportation; Ebsary’s scope of work included foundation construction for FDOT Intermediate Bridge <br />Construction, installation of new bulkhead sheet piling and tiebacks for the north new river canal, landside <br />sheet piling with permanent tiebacks and walers, cast in place concrete, precast soundwall demolition and <br />installation, cofferdam construction for microtunneling for drainage improvement and miscellaneous <br />temporary critical sheet piling. <br /> <br />Ebsary’s contracted scope of work included foundation construction on 12 ea. separate Intermediate <br />Bridges; which included, handling and installing approximately 45,500 lineal feet of precast and <br />prestressed18” and 24” square concrete piling; to include associated test piling, pile cutoff and disposal and <br />furnishing and installing all necessary temporary critical sheet piling and support of excavation for <br />foundation construction; Handling and installing approximately 510,000 square feet of permanent canal <br />bulkhead coated steel sheet piling to include furnishing and installing approximately 15,000 wall feet of <br />permanent double channel waler and 920 ea. permanent grouted tieback anchors and 622 permanent <br />deadman anchors with precast concrete deadmen; Handling and installing approximately 98,000 square feet <br />of permanent landside MSE Steel Sheet Piling to include approximately 250 lineal feet of permanent <br />double channel waler and 180 permanent grouted tieback anchors; furnishing, installing and removing <br />approximately 32,670 square feet of temporary critical steel sheet piling; and furnishing and installing 258 <br />ea. precast soundwall posts, 97 ea. precast soundwall panels, demolition of 155 ea. soundwall posts and <br />panels and reinstallation of the soundwall panels. <br /> <br />Additionally, Ebsary was contracted for all cofferdams for the drainage microtunnels, which were to be <br />tunneled either under the I-595 roadway or under the North New River Canal. Ebsary designed, furnished, <br />installed and removed Eighteen (18) cofferdams for jacking and receiving with sizes ranging from 15ft x <br />18ft to 30ft x 21ft. Each square cofferdam was installed utilizing Temporary Steel Sheet piling, continuous <br />steel beam walers with bracing, 5ft thick tremie seals each with 35ft long 16” augercast anchor piling. <br />Cofferdam design incorporated the installation of drainage structures and construction of drainage outfalls. <br />The total of all cofferdams on this project entailed installation and removal of approximately 57,750 square <br />feet of steel sheet pile, more than 15,500 cubic yards of excavation, 140 ea. 16” x 35 ft diameter augercast <br />tension piling, 1,750 cubic yards of tremie concrete. Additionally, Ebsary designed and installed reinforced <br />cast in place concrete portal walls and thrust walls. <br /> <br />3. Company Role: <br /> <br />Sub Contractor – Designed, installed and removed all cofferdam work; Installation of foundation piling and <br />temporary critical sheet piling for minor bridges, intermediate bridges and major bridge, cast in place <br />concrete thrust walls and portal walls, sheet pile installation, deadman tieback installation, grouted soil <br />anchors, permanent double channel waler, soundwall demolition, soundwall installation, steel fabrication <br />and installation, excavation, tremie concrete, augercast piling. <br /> <br />
