116 City of Sunny Isles Beach New Facility Qualifications for Architectural Design Services <br />The SIB Gateway Park is aptly named, situated at the City’s southern terminus, and <br />bounded by major streets on three sides. Conceived as a joint venture between the City <br />and condominium developer with property facing the parcel, the park will provide a large <br />green recreational space and parking garage for local use and beach parking. The park’s <br />design recalls the simple elegance of classic urban parks, with wide crushed gravel <br />pathways lined by Live Oaks, and sloped lawns for people watching and picnicking. The <br />central lawn begins to “roll” as it extends eastward, much like the ocean beyond.
