<br />Mr. DiRenzo is a Principal at BR+A and has over 30 years of extensive experience in the
<br />engineering of HVAC systems for many types of building projects including healthcare
<br />facilities. His responsibilities have included overall project coordination, technical product
<br />quality, project engineering and design, specifi cation writing, construction cost estimating,
<br />site inspections, manpower planning, and staff work assignments.
<br />PROJECT EXPERIENCE
<br />709 Alton Road Mixed-Use Complex, Miami Beach, FL | Located at 709-745 Alton
<br />Road, BR+A provided shell and core design of a 64,000 SF, 4-story building to be used
<br />for offi ce and retail space. Additionally, the existing surface parking will be converted
<br />into a multi-story garage for approximately 170 cars. There will also be a green roof /
<br />amenity terrace to overlook South Beach’s residential neighborhoods to the east.
<br />Berkowitz Development Group, Gables Station Vertical Retail, Coral Gables, FL |
<br />350,000 SF vertical retail to be built over an existing parking lot which will hold 150,000
<br />cars. This mix-use development located in Miami’s most affl uent and densely populated
<br />sub-market, may include residential and offi ce development and will be walking distance
<br />to the Metro-Rail Station. Pursuing LEED Certifi cation.
<br />Douglas Centre Corporate Offi ce Facility Renovation, Coral Gables, FL | Interior
<br />renovations to this 185,000 SF, 12-story building with attached parking garage. Project
<br />includes remodel of interior spaces including common areas, corridors, restrooms, etc.
<br />The project also enclosed the connecting bridge between the building and garage, as
<br />well as exterior lighting and faÇade upgrades.
<br />Florida International University, Academic Health Center 5, Miami, FL | The AHC5
<br />120,000 SF Complex will house teaching labs for Public Health, faculty, research, and staff
<br />offi ces, as well as wet and dry research labs for all three programs in a collaborative setting.
<br />Pursuing LEED Silver Certifi cation.
<br />Max Planck Florida Institute, New Research Building, Jupiter, FL | 110,000 SF research
<br />building houses administrative offi ces; research library facilities; a large conference room
<br />with distance learning and high-end AV capabilities; and an entry atrium / lobby / gathering
<br />space. LEED Gold Certifi cation.
<br />Seminole Theatre Renovation, Homestead, FL | Interior renovation of the existing theatre,
<br />with potential minor exterior renovations / improvements, enabling them to present a
<br />variety of live performances and other types of events.
<br />The District at 3635 NE 1st Avenue, Miami, FL | New 435,000 GSF, 19-story tower
<br />consisting of approximately 195 one and two bedroom residential units (170,000 GSF),
<br />60,000 GSF of retail space, and 205,000 GSF of parking for 500 cars.
<br />The Harbour Mixed-Use Complex, Coconut Grove, FL | Multi-use complex in historic
<br />Coconut Grove is slated to include commercial and retail space (approximately 60,000
<br />SF), restaurants (approximately 20,500 SF), parking for over 250 cars, as well as boat
<br />storage and dry racks. Project will be designed to meet LEED standards.
