<br /> U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Fort Buchanan, Antilles Elementary
<br />School, Bayamon, PRI. Structural engineering and construction support
<br />services for a 155,000-square-foot, two-story elementary school building.
<br />The building was designed to withstand small and large missile impacts
<br />from debris caused by hurricane force winds. The project scope included
<br />design of foundations and lateral systems.
<br /> Sandhill Water Reclamation Facility, Kissimmee, FL.* Structural design
<br />of an expansion of an advanced secondary facility that can process three
<br />million gallons per day. The $17 million project, completed in 2005,
<br />included design for an operations building, a blower equipment building, a
<br />hypochlorite storage structure, and electrical building, basins for
<br />preliminary treatment, aeration process, and UV treatment, an effluent
<br />pump station and a filter tank.
<br /> Palm Beach State College, Burn Building, Lake Worth, FL. Structural
<br />design of a three-story, 4,200-square-foot building on the Lake Worth
<br />campus.
<br /> Florida Atlantic University, Culture and Society Building, Boca Raton,
<br />FL.* Structural design of a 73,000-square-foot facility on the university’s
<br />main campus. The three-story structure consists of tilt-up concrete wall
<br />construction with an internal steel frame. The $19 million building,
<br />completed in 2010, features a full-height glass atrium and includes
<br />classrooms, administrative offices, four 40-seat living room theaters and a
<br />café.
<br /> Palm Beach State College, Technical Education Center, Belle Glade,
<br />FL.* Structural design of a 34,000-square-foot concrete-framed structure
<br />that incorporates the PSI System with precast joists and soffit beams. The
<br />two-level building features a three-story-tall glass atrium, which encloses
<br />the entrance, lounge and café areas. The $13 million facility, completed in
<br />2010, houses classrooms and workshop space for education in the
<br />construction and machine trades.
<br /> Boca Raton Resort and Club, Boca Beach Club Expansion, Boca
<br />Raton, FL.* Structural design to renovate and replace the façade of a
<br />seven-story, 300,000-square-foot hotel and add a new 200,000-square-
<br />foot expansion. The project transformed the 1970s beachfront property
<br />into a world-class resort complex. The new construction also includes a
<br />750-space, four-story post-tensioned concrete garage topped by a rooftop
<br />plaza that serves as the resort’s main entrance.
<br /> Boca Bridge Hotel, Boca Raton, FL. Structural engineering and special
<br />inspection services for the renovation of an 11-story hotel and expansions
<br />to the lobby and restaurant area. Project included the addition of a
<br />vehicular concrete ramp and openings in the existing shear walls.
<br /> Westfield Sarasota Square, Sarasota, FL.* Structural design to renovate
<br />and add a 75,000-square-foot expansion to existing retail mall. Completed
<br />in 2008, the project included a total interior renovation and accommodates
<br />three new restaurants, a new food court and new entrances.
