<br /> Mr. Widjaja joined Thornton Tomasetti in 2012 with seven years of
<br />experience in structural analysis, design inspection and construction
<br />administration for new buildings and renovation projects. His portfolio
<br />includes residential buildings, hotels, sports facilities, schools and office
<br />buildings. As a Project Engineer, Mr. Widjaja is responsible for structural
<br />analysis and design, oversight of engineering and CAD staff efforts,
<br />coordination with architects and design team members, production of
<br />structural drawings and construction administration.
<br />Representative Project Experience
<br /> City of Coral Springs, City Hall, Coral Springs, FL. Structural design of a
<br />five-story, 65,000-square-foot municipal office building, which will house a
<br />central energy plant and a post office. An above ground parking garage
<br />will accommodate 300 cars. Design elements also include a rooftop
<br />garden, artwork, public transit shelters, fountains, street furniture and
<br />ornamental paving.
<br /> Palm Beach County Tax Collector’s Office, Lake Worth, FL. Structural
<br />design of a two-story, 34,000-square-foot government building with a
<br />shallow foundation, load bearing concrete masonry walls and a reinforced
<br />concrete cast in place moment frame. The floor system is a composite
<br />metal deck and concrete slab system on open web steel joist and
<br />structural steel beams. The interior provides a high-functioning layout and
<br />the 20-foot storefront façade allows for deeper penetration of natural light.
<br /> City of Aventura, Government Center Parking Expansion, Aventura,
<br />FL. Structural design of a three-story parking garage with 207 spaces to
<br />be built on top of an existing surface lot.
<br /> Confidential Training and Meeting Center, Juno Beach, FL. Structural
<br />design of a 17,000-square-foot addition to an auditorium located on a
<br />commercial campus. The building program included a 450-seat split-level
<br />auditorium with a sloped floor, a raised stage and support spaces.
<br /> American Express, Regional Headquarters, Sunrise, FL. Structural
<br />engineering services for two glass office buildings connected by an
<br />atrium. The headquarters will total 440,000 square feet and sit on a 40-
<br />acre site. The new campus will allow the company to consolidate
<br />operations and provide flexibility for expansion. The project is being
<br />designed to LEED standards.
<br /> Palm Beach State College, Public Safety Training Center Phase
<br />Three Threshold Inspection, Lake Worth, FL. Threshold inspection
<br />services for a 103,000-square-foot classroom and vocational training
<br />space. The project includes laboratories, an auditorium and a tactical
<br />gymnasium. Thornton Tomasetti performed the structural design for the
<br />project.
