Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting April 16,2015 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida <br /> sure you are connected that way. There are other things that are done just to make it more <br /> pedestrian friendly, there are all types of new technology with crosswalks which makes it <br /> safer for pedestrians. There are multi-use paths that are 4 to 8 feet wide for bikers and <br /> joggers to go on,they are made of asphalt on the bike lanes that can be used. There are more <br /> policy issues we can deal with like rules of concurrency, and different ways to extract funds <br /> from development so they can fund these types of projects. So everythind from urban design <br /> to transportation modes to policy. The issue of shared bikes is one. We will explore all of <br /> those, explain the concepts, and see if you like them. <br /> Commissioner Aelion moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution. Resolution No. 2015-2395 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> [City Clerk's Note: Item 7A was heard after Item I OD and the remaining agenda was heard <br /> in order.] <br /> 10E. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.Approving a <br /> Waiver of Plat Application for the Property Located at 19200 Collins Avenue <br /> Commonly Known as Heritage Park,as More Fully Described in Exhibit"A";Authorizing <br /> the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution;Providing for an <br /> Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Planning and Zoning Administrator Claudia <br /> Hasbun reported noting this is saying that the Park is tax exempt and that we have to pay <br /> taxes on the garage. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Aelion moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution.
