13 | <br /> <br />effectively, the proposed facility is “built as a model” in electronic space, thus allowing immediate <br />assessment of all design decisions. <br />Extractions from the BIM model are used to generate 2D CAD drawings and construction documents. <br />The CAD drawings extracted from the BIM model accurately reflect the coordination of myriad building <br />systems that have been undertaken on the model.This tool therefore allows the coordination of varying <br />levels of building system detail, to result in a thorough analysis and planning before building commences <br />-and which can be amended with new design input to assess impact of design alternative during the <br />phases of both design and construction to achieve high levels of project coordination as well as assess <br />potential impacts to the Project Schedule. <br />SUMMARY <br />BEA Architects, and its highly experienced diverse team of consultants, brings excellence to the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach in a host of necessary competencies such as: <br />1.Proven design experience, having designed an extensive list of private as well as public sector <br />multi-use / multi-purpose type projects ranging from educational facilities, sports complexes <br />(aquatic, tennis, soccer and football), parking garages and intermodal facilities, cruise terminals <br />and port projects for Port Everglades,Port Miami, Port Canaveral, as well as other ports in the <br />U.S. and around the world for all major cruise lines and port authorities. <br />2.In-depth and keen understanding of issues related to transportation infrastructure, traffic flows, <br />environmental concerns, utility infrastructure, project phasing and maintenance of traffic issues. <br />All these are key elements to the successful design and construction of the proposed new <br />multi-use facility given the proposed site location. <br />3.Extensive and relevant experience interfacing with local permitting and code enforcement <br />agencies; BEA coordinated permitting efforts thorough multiple Miami Dade County and local <br />municipal agencies; DERM, Dade County Water and Sewer, City of North Miami Beach Water <br />and Sewer among numerous others, and state permitting agencies; such as Florida <br />Department of Transportation, South Florida Water Management District, Florida Department of <br />Environmental Protection among others.
