9 | <br /> <br />PROJECT APPROACH <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach project provides the opportunity for innovation, excellence, and <br />standout civic amenities that respect and reflect the unique natural environment of Sunny Isles Beach <br />community. This requires a team with experience in handling complex multi-purpose and <br />infrastructure projects, as well as an understanding of the needs and processes by which <br />municipalities work. With BEA Architects and its highly-experienced consultant team, the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach will have both. <br />BEA architects, Inc. is firmly and aggressively committed to meeting all design, budget, scope and <br />schedule requirements that are identified with and associated with the City of Sunny Isles Beach multi- <br />use facility project and the various phases of the project’s realization. Therefore, we are prepared to <br />approach our tasks with the City of Sunny Isles Beach in the following manner: <br />At the onset of the Contract, BEA will set up a project initiation meeting with the city staff and other <br />stakeholders to identify, assess, discuss and listen to the City’s requirements, goals and objectives, <br />challenges and opportunities, listen to the needs of end users as well as of those of the community. <br />PROJECT SCOPE AND BUDGET <br />We shall discuss the project scope and budget to ascertain its feasibility, and suggest adjustments if <br />necessary. We shall: <br />•Establish project goals and work with the City to identify specific goals, and offer suggestions for <br />growth based on goals that are identified. <br />•Establish Space Programming phase to assess and study City’s requirements and allocate appropriate <br />space and functional as needed. <br />•On Basis of an approved Space Program, define design parameters and Project Phasing that align <br />with the City’s funding availability within its Capital Improvement budget.It is understood this contract is <br />contingent upon the City’s funding is available on an annual basis. <br />•Establish timetable of deliverables for all phases from Schematics, 30%, 60%, 90% and final <br />Construction Documents.
