Mr. Wilkin earned his B.A. Architecture from the University of Tennessee and is a Florida Registered Architect (License number 11619). He is CPTED certified and most recently earned his Certificate of Wind Load Calculations and Other Wind Issues certification and Certificate of Wind Load Calculations - Structural Applications certifications through the University of Florida. Mr. Wilkin has been responsible for various management and technical duties for all architectural projects, including planning, working drawing production and design. His focus is providing the utmost satisfactions to the client by ensuring projects are functional, code compliant and that they are completed on time and within the budget. He conducts weekly staff meetings to set production goals on a task -by -task basis. He also reviews the design budget on a bi- weekly basis to verify that the progress being made is consistent with the time charges and will constantly monitor the team's production rate and determine if additional staff is needed to meet the target milestone dates. Additionally, he is responsible for reviewing the project schedule and making periodic updates to reflect milestones & deadlines and control work efforts and budget. The following is a list of selected project experience: BROWARD COLLEGE SIMULATION LAB, Davie, Florida ACAI has been selected by Broward College to design a building which includes seven state -of- the -art simulation labs each of which are equipped with human patient simulators and bedside computers; specialized hospital equipment specific to the function of each lab; internet access; digitalized video; recording cameras and TV monitors. The labs are designed to replicate realistic practice settings and has an EMS ambulance bay, and Emergency Department, Critical Care units, Medical- Surgical unit, Trauma /Operating /Dental Room, a Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Intensive Care /Pediatric unit; and open lab space to conduct large clinical drills, as well as debriefing rooms, storage space, and video recording control rooms. Each patient care unit accommodates 6 students and an instructor, and have an adjoin- ing control room and storage. ACAI was approved for the Programming of the project, which consisted of preparing the educational program to serve as the basis of design for the educational facilities and site improvements. The program included every space, its intended use, capacity, additional requirements, such as equipment, furniture, and special needs of Broward College. This scope required meetings with the Owner to gather and review information for the program.
