GALEN VON GLEICH, RA, LEED AP BIM Manager <br />EDUCATION Master of Architecture, Montana State University <br />Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design, Montana State University <br />CERTIFICATIONS Florida Registered Architect No. 97234 <br />PROFESSIONAL National Council of Architectural Registration Boards <br />LEED Accredited Professional <br />EXPERIENCE <br />Mr. Von Gleich has over 11 years of diverse experience in the field of architectural design, including <br />governmental, educational, commercial, medical, office and residential facilities. Mr. Von Gleich has been <br />responsible for various management and technical duties for many architectural projects, including planning, <br />working drawing production and design. He provides quality services by focusing on developing projects that <br />are functional, code compliant and that are completed on time and within budget. He conducts weekly staff <br />meetings to set production goals on a task -by -task basis. He also reviews the design budget on a bi- weekly <br />basis to verify that the progress is consistent with the schedule and milestones. Galen earned his Masters <br />of Architecture Degree from the Montana State University and is a Florida Registered Architect (License <br />number 97234). Additionally Mr. VonGleich is a LEED AP and is well- versed in SREF. <br />The following is a list of selected project experience: <br />BROWARD COUNTY RAVENSWOOD BUS MAINTENANCE FACILITY, Fort Lauderdale, Florida <br />ACAI Associates was selected by Broward County, Florida to provide programming, design and construction <br />administration services for the replacement of facilities at the Ravenswood Bus Maintenance Facility. The <br />9 -acre site will be reconfigured, replacing the existing 1970's structures with new state -of- the -art facilities for <br />current and future needs. When completed, the facility will accommodate up to 150 fleet vehicles including <br />(130) 40 -foot buses and (20) 60 -foot articulated buses along with staff and visitor parking, the majority of <br />which will be provided by a new 268 - space multi -level parking garage. The existing facilities to be replaced <br />include: an operations building, an 11 -Bay bus maintenance building, a fueling and fare retrieval facility, bus <br />washing facility and surface parking. In addition, ancillary structures include: a sanitary lift station, guard <br />gate, a compressor building and other miscellaneous storage buildings. All of these are proposed to be <br />removed as part of this project. As part of Broward County's ongoing efforts to provide more energy efficient, <br />environmentally sustainable building, the new Ravenswood Maintenance Facility will pursue a LEEDO Gold <br />Certification. <br />CHRIS EVERT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, PHASE I, Fort Lauderdale, Florida <br />ACAI was selected to provide architectural services for the 225,000 square foot additions and alterations to <br />Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our initial team included Page as Associate <br />Architect. The Chris Evert Women's and Children's Hospital is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center recognized <br />by the National Association of Children's Hospitals. The healthcare facility provides family- centered care for <br />infants, children and youth. As planned, the project will promote the hospital's South Tower as the portal to <br />the Chris Evert Children's Hospital and includes a new Pediatric Emergency Department, state -of- the -art <br />NICU, labor and delivery and Post -Partum Private rooms and a host of new ancillary and support facilities <br />alongside an expanded parking garage with pedestrian skylink direct to the new tower.
