CONNORS, P.E. <br />Senior Civil Engineer <br />BACKGROUND <br />Mr. Connors is a native South Floridian with twenty -nine years of engineering <br />experience in Broward County. During this time he has participated in the <br />engineering design and construction of various public sector projects. <br />Senior Engineer (September 1991- Present) <br />Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc., Fort Lauderdale <br />Responsibilities include design and preparation of construction plans, permit <br />coordination and approval with governmental agencies. Responsible for <br />project management and design of land development and public sector <br />projects, including water, sewer, roads, drainage, cost estimates, specifications <br />and construction administration, inspection and certifications. <br />Associate Partner /Civil Engineer (August 1989 - August 1991) <br />Griffin /Evans & Associates, Inc., Davie <br />Responsible for total project management, engineering design and production. <br />Duties included project design, man -hour projections and coordination, <br />engineering design of paving, grading and drainage, stormwater management <br />calculations, water and wastewater distribution systems, aviation fuel tank <br />storage facilities, construction cost estimating, all related specifications <br />preparation, digicad computer design and drafting supervision. Responsible for <br />all client and agency coordination relating to project design, cost efficiency, <br />permit approvals, construction inspection and certifications. <br />Civil Engineer /E.I.T. (March 1985 - July 1989) <br />Post, Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc., Hollywood <br />Performed engineering technician duties involving data collection and analysis, <br />report preparation and public agency coordination. Responsible for traffic <br />analysis, roadway design and land development including paving, grading and <br />drainage, water distribution system and sanitary sewage collection system <br />design, cut and fill practices and all related specifications preparation. Also <br />includes processing and permitting through city, county and state agencies. <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />Miramar Regional Park - Miramar - Project Manager for this 170 -acre active <br />sports park; includes tennis, soccer, football, softball and swimming facilities; <br />picnic pavilions for small to corporate site gatherings. <br />Chapel Trail Park -City of Pembroke Pines - Project Manager for this 19 -acre <br />community park facility in the master planned community of Chapel Trail.
