<br />MUNICIPAL PROJECT EXPERIENCE
<br />Village of Palmetto Bay Community Center and Li-
<br />brary, Palmetto Bay, FL New 9,000 SF Library and com-
<br />munity center that also functions as a neighborhood park
<br />for special events, and includes an environmentally-ori-
<br />ented park on Biscayne Bay.
<br />Broward County Northwest Regional Library, Coral
<br />Springs, FL New 72,000 SF regional library. Two-stories,
<br />with “public” areas defined in the first floor, encompass-
<br />ing areas for children’s reading, children’s workshop, and
<br />teen/young adult’s area.
<br />U.S. Coast Guard Housing, Grassy Key, FL New hous-
<br />ing consisting of 11 LEED Certified residential housing
<br />units. Completed in three phases the development in-
<br />cludes four- and three-bedroom single family detached
<br />dwellings in a “duplex” configuration.
<br />Suniland Park and Community Center, Pinecrest, FL
<br />10-acre active park with multipurpose athletic fields, a
<br />mixed-use community center for senior activities, basket-
<br />ball courts, Wi-Fi Spot and a tot lot.
<br />Evelyn Greer Park and Community Center, Pinecrest,
<br />FL New 10-acre award-winning park that includes two
<br />soccer fields, two softball fields, batting cages, a tot lot,
<br />perimeter jogging path with fitness stations, a covered
<br />shelter and a 5,000 SF community center consisting of
<br />an activity room, public restrooms, administrative park of-
<br />fices, a snack shop, a large recreation shelter for public
<br />gatherings, a covered children’s playground, and parking
<br />for 140 vehicles.
<br />Florida City Youth Community Center, Florida City,
<br />FL New 21,500 SF youth activity and community center
<br />featuring a wide range of activities for specialized uses
<br />including an indoor basketball gym with folding bleach-
<br />ers that seat 240. The buildings surround a secure open
<br />courtyard in which social activities and other events can
<br />take place.
<br />City of Miami Virrick Park Pool, Miami, FL Scope in-
<br />cludes demolition and construction of a new pool building
<br />facility within the existing footprint. Building includes ad-
<br />ministration, bath house, concession stand, smaller pool
<br />and a splash playground.
<br />Ocean Reef Cultural and Community Center, Key Lar-
<br />go, FL The organization of the primary functional spac-
<br />es was developed to allow independent operation of the
<br />Theater and Reception & Banquet Hall, the Historical Mu-
<br />seum, the Library, and the Meeting Rooms. These spac-
<br />es are accessible from each other via covered walkways
<br />that encircle the central courtyard. Independent entranc-
<br />es allow maximum flexibility for hours of operation and
<br />security measures.
<br />Flamingo Park Master Plan and Tennis Center, Miami
<br />Beach, FL New master plan for the 36-acre park and a
<br />new 5,000 SF tennis center for the historic park. The new
<br />tennis center will have 17 hydro grid courts, a new re-
<br />stroom building, new handball courts, new tot lot, a new
<br />water feature at the center of the park, and new lighting,
<br />fencing, landscaping and shade trees along pedestrian
<br />promenades.
<br />City of Miami Beach Property Management Facility,
<br />Miami Beach, FL New property management facility to
<br />included administrative offices, workshops, inventory
<br />warehouse, oversized vehicle parking, hazardous mate-
<br />rial storage, loading area and an emergency generator.
<br />Florida International University Continuing Services
<br />Contract for Architecture, Miami, FL Project architect
<br />for an architectural/engineering Indefinite Quantity Con-
<br />tract for all of FIU’s campuses. Individual work orders un-
<br />der $1M in construction cost. To date, diverse projects
<br />consisted of gymnasium locker room renovations, emer-
<br />gency structural upgrades to a partially collapsed building
<br />to exterior window replacement and elevator upgrades.
