AECOM RFQ No. 15-04-01 <br />D PROJECT APPROACH AND UNDERSTANDING <br />Our team is committed to coordinating with, listening to, and responding to your needs. <br />Understanding <br />The City is soliciting professional architectural design <br />services and related work for 18080 Collins Avenue, <br />Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160, which may include, <br />but not limited to, the following tasks Architectural: <br />Design; Reports; Analysis; Graphic Conceptual <br />Drawings; Color Selection and Coordination; <br />Inspection; General Design Work; Preparation of <br />Complete Construction Contract Plans; Special <br />Provisions Public Involvement; Post Design Services <br />(submittal review and responses to Request for <br />Information) The City intends to execute an agreement <br />with a firm to provide design services for a new <br />Facility located at 18080 Collins Avenue, Sunny <br />Isles Beach, FL 33160. This property is a 1-acre lot <br />located adjacent to the existing government center. <br />The intent is to have a firm provide a viable holistic <br />approach to the design process. The final product <br />must be economically feasible, obtain commission <br />and regulatory approval, as well as look aesthetically <br />pleasing. The new facility will be used for municipal <br />purposes, educational purposes, community & civic <br />uses, in addition to including commercial space. <br />The total estimated square footage for the facility is <br />100,000 square feet. Reference aerial below. <br />Scope of Services <br />The AECOM Team will divide the work effort into seven <br />phases with the results of each phase reviewed and <br />approved by the City of Sunny Isles Beach prior to <br />proceeding with the next phase. In many cases the <br />work efforts for each phase will overlap with those of <br />other phases to allow for the completion of the design <br />within an accelerated schedule. <br />Appropriate and thoughtful utilization of the latest <br />information on trends in the design and construction <br />industry are all key elements our approach. We <br />recognize that each project is unique; we do not <br />believe in or provide any boilerplate solutions. Further, <br />we recognize that City staff are key players of the <br />team in any City project, and we look forward to an <br />effective and rewarding collaboration with your team <br />We will work with local Stakeholders and City staff to <br />effectively solicit, respond to, and incorporate public <br />input. <br />Section D 5
