<br />and Parking Garage, Sunny Isles Beach,
<br />FL. Planning and design for a new
<br />parking garage which was incorporated
<br />into a new 4-acre community park. The
<br />500+ car garage consists of 4-levels of
<br />parking and includes functional space
<br />for concessions, park support space,
<br />and public works at the first level. The
<br />park component includes a children’s
<br />playground, plaza and gazebo.
<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Government
<br />Center Sunny Isles Beach, FL. The
<br />City Hall totals approximately 58,000
<br />square feet on four floors and includes
<br />administration, police, library and
<br />Council Chamber functions. The design
<br />floats a three-floor curving bar of
<br />administration and police functions
<br />over the ground floor public spaces
<br />of library, conference, post office and
<br />Council Chamber. A three-level parking
<br />structure slides underneath the western
<br />leg of the City Hall and integrates
<br />public-related functions at the base.
<br />Village of Key Biscayne Government
<br />Center Key Biscayne, FL. The
<br />Administration and Police Building of
<br />Key Biscayne is composed of 32,000
<br />SF of program that includes police
<br />related functions. The Administration
<br />and Police building is designed around
<br />a two-story landscaped and paved
<br />courtyard connecting the pedestrian
<br />circulation from the main McIntyre
<br />Street building entrance with a
<br />pedestrian garage entrance to the
<br />south. The courtyard functions both as a
<br />public gathering space and as a means
<br />to provide natural light and air to the
<br />internal facing office areas.
<br />Surfside Community Center, Surfside,
<br />FL. The Town of Surfside selected
<br />AECOM to provide comprehensive
<br />planning and design services for their
<br />new 30,000 SF multi-purpose Civic
<br />Center. This new facility will replace
<br />a 1950’s era building that had become
<br />functionally obsolete. The building is
<br />registered and is expected to meet LEED
<br />NC Silver certification.
<br />Cape Coral City Hall Complex and
<br />Emergency Operations Center, Cape
<br />Coral, FL. A 91,617 SF, 2-story civic
<br />building master planned adjacent to the
<br />existing facility. The building includes
<br />a 250-seat City Council chamber and
<br />auditorium, Mayor’s office, City Clerk,
<br />City Attorney and City Manager offices,
<br />community development and other
<br />related city functions. A 9,000 SF
<br />Stand-alone Emergency Operations
<br />Center is also included on the site. The
<br />facility is master planned to include a
<br />350-car garage for staff and visitors in a
<br />subsequent phase.
<br />Clay County Courthouse Expansion &
<br />Renovation Green Cove Springs, FL.
<br />A 4-story 89,000 SF addition to the
<br />existing courthouse to include four new
<br />state of the art courtrooms, prisoner
<br />holding cells, eight judicial chambers,
<br />and consolidated offices for the Clerk
<br />of Court, as well as building support
<br />spaces. Renovation work in the existing
<br />74,000 SF courthouse will include the
<br />redesign of the State Attorney, Public
<br />Defender, and miscellaneous court
<br />support space.
<br />State of Florida Third District Court of
<br />Appeal Renovations, Miami, FL. Project
<br />Manager. Project involved renovations
<br />to an existing court buildings designed
<br />by AECOM in the 70’s. The renovations
<br />included ADA upgrades and renovations
<br />to the judicial suites, Clerk of Court ,
<br />and Courtroom areas. Ms. Gladstone
<br />was part of the Third District Court
<br />of Appeal’s Court Accessibility Team,
<br />reviewing the overall ADA compliance of
<br />the Courthouse facility.

<br />Nina serves as a project
<br />manager/project architect
<br />for AECOM specializing in
<br />government and public facilities.
<br />Her experience includes
<br />numerous major government
<br />projects totaling over 5 million
<br />SF. Some of the more recent
<br />projects have been nationally or
<br />regionally recognized through
<br />awards and publications.
<br />Nina’s project duties have
<br />encompassed programming,
<br />architecture and engineering,
<br />as well as interior design/ space
<br />planning/ FF&E services. Her
<br />responsibilities have included
<br />management and coordination of
<br />specialty consultants including
<br />landscape, cost estimating,
<br />acoustical, audio-visual, food
<br />services, elevator, life safety,
<br />geotechnical and security.
