AECOM RFQ No. 15-04-01 <br />City of Cape Coral <br />City Hall Complex <br />Miami, FL <br />Key Personnel: Nina Gladstone, Ovidio Rodriquez <br />The Cape Coral City Hall is a 91,617 square foot, <br />2-story civic building located on a 20-acre site in a <br />waterfront community on the west coast of Florida. <br />As a relatively new and expanding community, <br />the City was in search of a civic identity when it <br />selected AECOM as its Architect. The “newness” <br />of the City helped drive the design team to create a <br />contemporary facility in keeping with its surroundings. <br />The master plan located the City Hall adjacent to the <br />former City Hall structure which was subsequently <br />retrofi t ted for use as a Police facility. The New City <br />Hall created a landscaped, green park for community <br />open space, as well as for future City development. <br />The building consists of a 250-seat City Council <br />chamber, Mayor’s of fi ce, City Clerk, City Attorney <br />and City Manager of fices, community development, <br />and a one-stop shopping <br />concept for all building, <br />zoning, permitting <br />functions.
