9THE WEITZ COMPANY // GOVERNMENT CENTER ANNEX, RFQ NO. 15-08-02 / CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL <br />SECTION C // COVER LETTER AND EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />QUALITY CONTROL <br />Weitz approaches quality as the lasting representation of our projects. For the Government Annex project, our team will <br />implement quality control procedures during the pre-construction phase that will ensure the building is designed and <br />built with the highest level of quality — including specific attention to the building envelope for weather-tightness and <br />climate control. We will provide our Quality Control Plan to your staff, outlining how each component will be inspected <br />for quality, and we will meet with the end users and Facilities personnel to understand their quality expectations for the <br />project. On the interior, we will implement a detailed mock-up plan that incorporates samples of the work and building <br />components, well in advance of construction, so that everyone involved in the project can see the work and approve the <br />level of detail before construction of these components proceeds. Lastly, our operation and maintenance training, and <br />our follow-up warranty process, ensures that our durability and quality sustain long after the project is completed. <br />REQUIRED STATEMENTS <br />We understand the work to be done, and make a positive commitment to perform it in accordance with the City of <br />Sunny Isle’s expectations. Our current workload is listed at the end of Section F as required, and we do not expect it <br />to impact this project. We warrant that at all times during the term of the Agreement (if selected), we shall maintain in <br />good standing all required licenses, certifications and permits required under federal, state and local laws necessary to <br />perform the services.
