<br />Quantum, LLC to develop and build a
<br />$70M student housing project on Bethune-
<br />Cookman’s campus in Daytona Beach,
<br />Florida. The Bethune-Cookman Student
<br />Housing project will house over 1,200
<br />incoming freshmen when completed.
<br />Construction on the four buildings, totaling
<br />just under 300,000 SF, is set to begin Fall
<br />of 2014 with an aggressive schedule that
<br />will complete mid 2016. This project will
<br />involve all three Groups of Hensel Phelps:
<br />Development, Construction, and Services.

<br />The work consists of removal and storage of
<br />existing system components, equipment, and
<br />materials for reuse/reinstallation; demolition of
<br />system components; modification of structural
<br />elements and installation of new structural
<br />elements; and installation of new systems,
<br />equipment, and materials. Demolition and
<br />construction will take place in High Bay
<br />(HB) 3 with some ancillary systems, such
<br />as electrical and communication cable tray
<br />connecting HB3 to the Launch Control Center
<br />(LCC). A total of ten new vehicle access
<br />platforms, vehicle specific inserts, and related
<br />mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems
<br />will be constructed.
