City of Sunny Isles Beach Government Center Annex | RFP# 15-08-02
K. Project Management Services
Page 48
As your construction partner, we will collaborate and
fully integrate with the City of Sunny Isles Beach and your
selected design team, Perkins + Will. We believe up-front
collaboration and integrated project delivery method is the
best format to deliver a successful project.
By combining our experiences, expertise and resources,
we will provide a comprehensive plan for identifying the
level of development available for your Governmental
Center Annex project.
Through active teaming and the establishment of a
collaborative environment that encourages dialogue and the
exchange of ideas, our team will ensure the success of all
phases of this project:
•Phase 1 – Pre-construction and Design
•Phase 2 – Construction
•Phase 3 – Post Construction
We will foster this assurance through:
•Partnering Session - Skanska will meet with the City
and Perkins + Will soon after the award to ensure a
complete understanding of the design intent and all
of the college’s goals.
•Construction Project Execution Plan (PEP)
- Drawing from the initial partnering session,
Skanska will begin to create the PEP to be used as a
communications tool among all team members. This
is a living document that will be updated throughout
the design and construction phases of the project.
•Technology - All Skanska project systems are web-
based and are accessible to all team members. We are
aligned with the guidelines of the City and the need
for “open-book” reporting and our systems support
this ideal.
•Face-to-Face Meetings - Skanska is a
technology-intensive company, but we realize that
communication is ultimately about people. We
will use technology to facilitate communication
among members of the project team, and to surface
and resolve issues or areas of concern. We believe
partnering and the methodology of partnering
is more important than technology. Getting the
entire team aligned around the project’s goals is the
proactive way to ensure project success. For this
reason, we will schedule meetings to cover budget,
schedule and all remaining aspects of the project.
Project Management Services
Photo courtesy of City of Sunny Isles Beach
