PERKINS+WILL TEAM ORGANIZATION Lawrence Kline will serve as the Design Principal with Jackie Candela as Project Manager / Project Architect and Carlos Vilato as the Senior Designer providing daily oversight and management of the project throughout service delivery. In addition, Pat Bosch as Design Director of the Miami Office will provide critical design peer review and critique during the design process and George Valcarcel will provide Quality Review and peer review of the construction documents. MEETING SCHEDULE . Based on the proposed design schedule described above, we have assumed the following maximum number of meetings and presentations calculated into our fee: Programming Verification + Stakeholder Meetings 2 meetings with City Staff and Stakeholders Schematic Design 2 Meetings with the City, 1,Commission Presentation Client Review and Approval of Design and Cost 1 Meeting with the City Design Development 2 Meetings with the City, 1 Commission Presentation Client Review and Approval of Design and Cost 1 Meeting with the City Construction Documents 2 Meetings with the City, 1 Commission Presentation Review and Approval of Design and Cost(final before permit) 1 Meeting with the City BUDGET We understand that the project budget is evolving as the detailed program areas and parking requirements are finalized based on the eventual mix of Academic, Civic, Office,Wellness and Retail uses.We would recommend that the City of Sunny Isles Beach engage a Construction Manager to work with the design architect from the start of the process; the current robust construction market has resulted in rising construction costs and we viant to ensure that with the help of a CM, we can establish and maintain a construction cost within budget for this project from Schematic Design through to the completion of Construction Documents. FEES AND EXPENSES Perkins+Will proposes to provide the services as outlined herein in a sequenced fashion. The proposed fees by phase include: Architecture and Interior Design Fee Program Verification $22,500 Schematic Design $207,000 Design Development $208,500 Construction Documents $295,000 Bidding + Permitting $49,500 Construction Administration $506,500 Furniture Selection for Civic Spaces $30,500 Engineering and Landscape Consultants Fee Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering $430,000 Separate Electric Metering for Office(3), School(1), Civic(1) $15,000 Structural Engineering $180,000 Threshold Inspections $80,000 Civil Engineering 555,000 Landscape Architecture $105,000 Green Roof Over School/Additional Site Features $37,500 The above-described professional fees are for base building Architecture, Interiors,Engineering and Landscape design services and do not include any additional consultant services.Additional consultants requested by the City of Sunny Isles Beach may include specialties such as specialty kitchen (warming kitchen for the School and Senior Center are included in the above fee),specialty acoustical,specialty lighting,specialty audio-visual,etc.Perkins+Will can provide these additional consultant services and associated fee proposals as an addition to this base contract amount. In addition, the Interior Design services are for core and shell design and will include finishes and lighting design for all core and shell surfaces and furniture selection and specification for the Civic and Main Lobby areas.
