4B) BUDGET ORDINANCE (PUBLIC HEARING) <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br /> ADOPTING A TENTATIVE OPERATING AND CAPITAL OUTLAY BUDGET <br /> FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER I, 1999, THROUGH <br /> SEPTEMBER 30, 2000, PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTES SECTION 200.65 <br /> (TRIM BILL)AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES OF FUNDS ESTABLISHED BY <br /> THE BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. [City Clerk's Note: a scrivener's error in the ordinance was <br /> announced during the meeting] <br /> ACTION: City Clerk Brown-Morilla read the title of the proposed ordinance, and <br /> City Manager DiPietro introduced the item. Mayor Samson said he was proud that <br /> our new City government had dropped the millage rate in its first two years of <br /> existence. <br /> Public Speakers: none <br /> Vice Mayor Turetsky moved and Commissioner Kauffman seconded a motion to <br /> approve the proposed ordinance on first reading. The motion was approved by <br /> a roll call vote of 5-0 in favor. Second reading, public hearing will be September <br /> 16, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. <br /> Vote: Commissioner Iglesias Yes <br /> Commissioner Kauffman yes <br /> Commissioner Morrow yes <br /> Vice-Mayor Turetsky yes <br /> Mayor Samson yes <br /> 5.
