General: Two-piece assemblies, as described below, allowing vertical or horizontal differential <br />movement between wall and framework parallel to plane of wall, but resisting tension and <br />compression forces perpendicular to plane of wall. <br /> <br />B. For anchorage to concrete framework, provide manufacturer's standard with dovetail anchor <br />section formed from minimum 12 gage sheet metal and 0.1875 inch diameter triangular-shaped <br />wire tie section sized to extend within I inch of masonry face. <br /> <br />C. For anchorage to steel framework, provide manufacturer's standard anchors with crimped ~ inch <br />diameter wire anchor section for welding to steel and 0.1875 inch diameter triangular-shaped wire <br />tie section sized to extend within I " of masonry face. <br /> <br />2.09 MISCELLANEOUS ANCHORS: <br /> <br /> <br />A. Unit Type Masonry Inserts in Concrete: Cast iron or malleable iron inserts of type and size <br />indicated <br /> <br />B. Dovetail Slots: Furnish dovetail slots, with filler strips, of slot size indicated, fabricated from <br />0.0336-inch (20 gage) hot-dip galvanized sheet metal. <br /> <br />C. Anchor Bolts: Steel bolts complying with ASTM A307, Grade A; with ASTM A563 hex nuts and <br />where indicated, flat washers; hot-dip galvanized to comply with ASTM A153, Class C; of <br />diameter; and length indicated <br /> <br />2.10 POST-INSTALLED ANCHORS: <br /> <br /> <br />A. Anchors as described below, with capability to sustain, without failure, load imposed within <br />factors of safety indicated, as determined by testing per ASTM E488, conducted by a qualified <br />independent testing laboratory. <br />1. Type: Expansion anchors <br />2. Corrosion Protection: Carbon steel components zinc-plated to comply with ASTM B633, <br />Class Fe/Zn 5 (5 microns) for Class SC I service condition (mild) <br />3. For cast-in-place and post-installed anchors in concrete: Capability to sustain, without <br />failure, a load equal to 4 times loads imposed by masonry <br />4. For post-installed anchors in grouted concrete masonry units: Capability to sustain, <br />without failure, a load equal to 6 times loads imposed by masonry <br /> <br />2.11 <br /> <br />EMBEDDED FLASHING MA TERIALS: <br />A. Copper-Fabric Flashing: <br />1. Application: Use where flashing is fully concealed in masonry <br />2. Material: Minimum 5 oz. per square foot (1525g1sq.m) copper sheet laminated on both <br />sides with treated glass fabric then bonded together with a flexible asphaltic material for <br />moisture protection <br />3. Products: Subject to full compliance with all requirements, provide one of the following: <br />a. Advanced Building Products, Inc. -Advanced Copper Fabric <br />Flashing <br />b. AFCO Products, Inc. -AFCO Copper Fabric <br />c. Polytite Manufacturing Corp. -Copper Fabric Flashing <br />d. Sandell Manuf. Co., Inc. -Copper Fabric <br />e.
