This Section includes hardware for the proper installation, operation, and control of doors. <br /> <br /> B. Related Work Specified Elsewhere Requiring Coordination with this Section: <br /> <br /> 1. Hollow Metal Doors and Frames: SECTION 08110 <br /> <br />1.02 REFERENCES <br /> <br />: <br /> A. Applicable Standards: <br /> 1. American National Standards Institute (ANSI): <br /> a. A115 Series - Door and Frame Preparation. <br /> b. A156 Series - Hardware. <br /> 2. Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA): <br /> a. 1301 Materials and Finishes. <br /> 3. Door and Hardware Institute (DHI): <br /> a. Architectural Hardware Scheduling Sequence and Schedule Format. <br /> b. Abbreviations and Symbols. <br /> c. Recommended Locations for Builders Hardware for Standard Steel Doors and Frames. <br /> d. Recommended Procedure for Processing Hardware Schedules and Templates. <br /> <br /> B. Acceptable Products: Articles of hardware are specified in the Hardware Sets with reference to ANTI <br />A156 Series designations. Articles meeting minimum requirements are acceptable. <br /> <br />1.03 SHOP DRAWINGS <br /> <br />: <br /> A. Submit as specified in SECTION 01300. <br /> <br /> B. Includes, but not limited to, the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Product Data: Manufacturer's technical product data for each item of hardware. Include <br />information necessary to show compliance with requirements, including instructions for installation <br />and maintenance of operating parts and finish. <br /> 2. Hardware Schedule: See hardware schedule on sheet A-6. <br /> a. Schedule all hardware on the vertical format with a horizontal summary conforming to DHI <br />standard, following the prescribed scheduling sequence and supplying door descriptions and <br />keying designations where applicable. <br /> b. For every article in which the complement of fasteners, the hand, size, finish, or the <br />incorporation of accessories represents a differential, enter each such article on the quantity <br />summary as a separate item. Make each entry on the quantity summary complete and <br />accurate, showing that all materials necessary to the finished installation are included. <br /> c. The use of abbreviations and symbols is limited to those prescribed in the DHI standard and <br />to those incorporated in the product numbers normal to manufacturer's procedures. <br /> d. Door numbers used in the schedule shall be the same as those used here in and on the <br />drawings. <br /> e. Maintain the sheets of instruction, layout templates, and any supplementary literature <br />regarding hardware in a readable condition. Transmit to the District all such matter together <br />with all spare parts, specialized tools, and other accessories supplied with the hardware. <br />Also, transmit to the District a copy of the approved hardware schedule. Notify the Engineer <br />in writing that such transmittal has occurred.
