Samson Oceanfront Park <br />City of Sunny Isles <br />Technical Specifications <br /> <br />FINISH HARDWARE 087111-2 <br /> <br />1.04 DELIVERY AND HANDLING <br /> <br />: <br /> A. Mark each article in a manner corresponding to the hardware schedule. <br /> <br /> B. Package articles of hardware complete with manufacturer's instructions and accessories as normally <br />provided, and carton securely. <br /> <br /> C. Provide a complete copy of the approved schedule with each lot of delivery, marked in such a manner as to <br />indicate the contents of the delivery. <br /> <br /> D. Provide a safe and secure location for jobsite storage to give reasonable assurance against loss or damage. <br /> <br />1.05 JOB CONDITIONS <br /> <br />: <br /> A. Coordinate hardware with other work. <br /> <br /> B. Furnish templates and other detail matter as required to each fabricator of doors and frames, and to other <br />work to be prepared for the installation of hardware. <br /> <br /> C. Where modifications to this specification are required due to unanticipated conditions, make <br />recommendations of alternative procedures to the Engineer for his consideration and approval. <br /> <br />PART 2 - MATERIALS <br /> <br />2.01 PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />: <br /> A. Hardware shall meet the respective applicable standards specified in 1. GENERAL. <br /> <br /> B. Provide hardware complete with all fasteners, anchors, instructions, layout templates, and any specialized <br />tools as required for satisfactory installation and adjustment. <br /> <br /> C. Provide manufacturer's standard products meeting the design intent of this specification, free of <br />imperfections affecting appearance or serviceability. <br /> <br />2.02 HARDWARE SETS <br /> <br />: Refer to the drawings on sheet A-6 <br />2.03 KEYING <br /> <br />: <br /> A. Description of Key System: Existing requirement by District's key system is in effect. Material supplier <br />under this section shall provide locksets less cylinders. Contractor shall verify keying requirements and <br />obtain, and arrange keying for, correct cylinder types from a local bonded locksmith. <br /> <br /> B. Provide keys as directed by District. <br /> <br />PART 3 - PERFORMANCE <br /> <br />3.01 PREPARATION <br /> <br />: <br /> A. Check all frames and doors for proper hardware cut-outs and reinforcements. <br /> B. Except as specified otherwise, install articles of hardware after finishes have been completed on the <br />substrate. Note all requirements for coordination with protective coating applications. <br /> <br /> C. Install hardware at such a time in the project schedule so as to minimize the possibility of damage from the <br />activity of other trades prior to acceptance.
