Summary of Work: The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment <br />necessary for the installation of a limerock base course. <br /> <br />B. RELATED WORK: <br /> <br />1. 02200 Earthwork <br />2. 02220 Excavation and Backfilling <br /> <br />1.02 APPLICABLE PUBLICATIONS <br /> <br />: The following specification shall apply to the work of this section: <br />A. Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge <br />Construction (FDOT, latest edition). <br /> <br />1.03 <br /> <br />DEFINITIONS: (Not Used) <br />1.04 <br /> <br />SUBMITTALS: (Not Used) <br />1.05 <br /> <br />QUALIFICATIONS: (Not Used) <br />1.06 <br /> <br />RESPONSIBILITIES: (Not Used) <br />1.07 CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING: <br /> <br /> One density test per every 7000 square feet of surface area is <br />required. One Proctor test is required per base course and every change in material. <br />1.08 INSPECTION COORDINATION: <br /> <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall provide access to the WORK for the <br />ENGINEER as requested for inspection. The CONTRACTOR shall provide 48 hours notice of its intention to <br />begin new WORK activities. <br />1.09 <br /> <br />WARRANTY: (Not Used) <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 LIMEROCK AGGREGATE <br /> <br />: The CONTRACTOR shall furnish limerock aggregate consisting of material <br />conforming to Section 200 “Rock Base” of the Florida Department of Transportation Standard <br />Specification for Road and Bridge Construction. <br />2.02 EQUIPMENT: <br /> <br />The CONTRACTOR shall furnish equipment as need to transport, deliver, place, spread, <br />incorporate, moisten and compact the limerock base material as specified and required by the Drawings. <br />A. General Requirements: <br /> <br />1. The CONTRACTOR shall maintain all equipment, tools, and machines used in the <br />performance of the work required by this Section in a satisfactory working condition at <br />all times. <br /> <br />2.
