Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting October 15,2015 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida 1013. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida,Authorizing the City Manager to Expend up to $97,500.00 with Bonnie Bennett Creative to Provide Graphic Design Services for the City in Fiscal Year 2015/2016; Further Authorizirig the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Cultural and Community Services Director Susan Simpson reported noting it did go up this year because we are moving to the monthly Islander being mailed to every home and so there are additional expenses for that design. We are also moving to reprint and redesign our Travel Book Maps in three (3) different languages which is required by the County and the Feds. Public Speakers: None Commissioner Levin asked when the switchover will take place,and so we will be doing this on a monthly basis rather than the Community Newspaper? Ms. Simpson said that is correct, we will see a savings from what we are currently.spending with Community Newspapers however we have not sent that letter yet. The plan is to keep the Newspaper through the end of November, and in mid-November the first monthly Islander will drop into homes for the month of December. In December you will get one for January,and so on. It went from four (4) pages to six (6) pages. The Islander will be the official communication of Sunny Isles Beach. Commissioner Aelion moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve the resolution. Resolution No. 2015-2480 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 10Q. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida,Authorizing the City Manager to Expend up to $135,000.00 with Franklin Dodd Communications to Provide Printing Services for the City in Fiscal Year 2015/2016; Authorizing the City Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Cultural and Community Services Director Susan Simpson reported this is a full year's worth of publications of which is 12 Islander,4 Living,a lovely annual Calendar, Shuttle Bus Maps,Brochures,print material,which by the way is also available on our website. Public Speakers: None Commissioner Goldman moved and Vice Mayor Gatto seconded a motion to approve the resolution. Resolution No. 2015-2481 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 11.
