<br /> YEARS EXPERIENCE Broadband Mapping Connected Nation - A broadband mapping is under the Broadband Technology
<br /> 12 Opportunities Program of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and is managed by the
<br /> U.S. Department of Commerce. Connected Nation is the designated entity for eight states. The project
<br /> includes the data processing and transformation of broadband data acquired from broadband providers,
<br /> from a variety of formats into broadband service area extent polygons in GIS format As a GIS Technical
<br /> Leader, she was in charge of developing processes, guidelines, standards, metadata, and coordinating
<br /> the staff to meet deadlines deliveries and budget constraints.
<br /> GIS-PRASA, Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) - The project comprises the
<br /> development of a GIS database for water and wastewater infrastructure covering the Island.The project
<br /> involved the collection,conversion and preparation of data to be used in further applications. It included
<br /> the creation of an open source web application to serve geographical data to be used by the corporation
<br /> internal users. As a GIS Technical Leader, she was in charge of developing processes, guidelines,
<br /> standards, metadata and to coordinate the staff to meet deadlines deliveries and budget constraints.
<br /> She was also responsible for staff capacitating and training for internal and external users.
<br /> Puerto Rico Digital Cadastral Project, CRIM - The project comprises the development and
<br /> implementation of a GIS enterprise operation with the cadastral data residing at CRIM (Center for
<br /> Municipal Revenue Collection). The project involved the creation of an enterprise Geodatabase using
<br /> SDE on Oracle to be used in their daily operations,and an intemet application serving geographical data
<br /> to be used by governmental agencies. As a GIS Coordinator, she was in charge of organizing every
<br /> process to make the operation more efficient This included the integration of cadastral data into the
<br /> newly implemented GIS Enterprise System, technical support and software application training, and
<br /> QA/QC processes.
<br /> Tien Urbano,Puerto Rico Department of Transportation -The project comprised the construction of a
<br /> massive transportation system in the metropolitan area of Puerto Rico. It included one corridor and 13
<br /> stations.As a GIS Analyst, he was assigned to the planning office to work with transportation engineers
<br /> and planners to determine data management and analysis needs for spatial and non-spatial data.
<br /> He analyzed,developed and maintained the Tien Urbano Stations'database,and designed,developed,
<br /> and implemented customized applications that interacted with relational databases for both, internal
<br /> and municipal clients use.
<br /> Federal Natural Resources Inventory, NRCS-USDA - The project comprised an inventory of the existing
<br /> natural resources. It was carried out by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS),division of
<br /> the US Department of Agriculture(USDA), every four-year period.As a Physical Scientist,he delimitated
<br /> different land use by photo interpretation and data entry. The inventory was done for the States of
<br /> Wisconsin,Indiana,Illinois,Minnesota,Ohio,and Michigan.
