APONTE, MSE, CEI <br /> NW 7th/9th Avenue Connector, Project Development & Environmental (PD&E) Study — City of Fort Lauderdale, <br /> Broward County, Florida/FDOT, District 4 <br /> Environmental Inspector- The scope of this project included the re-evaluation of the Contamination Screening Evaluation <br /> Report (CSER) in accordance with FDOT/PD&E 23, CFR 771. The environmental evaluation was performed to identify <br /> significant environmental impacts, which may have changed after previous environmental reports. Conclusions and <br /> recommendations were also provided in order to continue to the next project phase. Additional services included <br /> signalization,drainage design, signing and pavement marking and permitting. <br /> Estero Bay Nutrient Load Assessment—South Florida Water Management District <br /> Environmental Inspector who worked on the development of a nutrient load assessment model for planners, regulators and <br /> local stakeholders to evaluate various altematives to protect and enhance water quality within the basin and related impacts <br /> on Estero Bay using the WAMView model. <br /> Old City Hall Site Environmental Assessment—City of Lauderhill, Florida <br /> Environmental Inspector—She conducted Phase I Environmental Assessments and Reports <br /> NW 107th Avenue Feasibility Study— Miami-Dade County, Florida <br /> Environmental Inspector—She performed the analysis and evaluation of the existing environmental conditions and provided <br /> recommendations for mitigation where applicable. The study evaluated the feasibility for extending the NW 107th Avenue <br /> corridor from the northern terminus at NW 138th Street to NW 106th Street. <br /> Pump Station 362 Septic Tank Permit- Modem Continental South— Palm Beach County, Florida <br /> Environmental Inspector—She prepared and obtained Septic Tank Permit for Pump Station Site. <br /> McCoy Annex-Orlando Florida Post—Active Remediation Monitoring Building 7174 <br /> Environmental Inspector - Ms. Aponte performed monitoring activities to complete post-remediation monitoring of an <br /> abandoned Navy base. She measured groundwater elevations in monitoring wells, collected groundwater samples for <br /> VOC's and generated reports. <br /> Environmental Assessments (Phase I) Empowerment Zone—Miami-Dade Overtown <br /> Environmental Inspector—She conducted Phase I Environmental Assessments. <br /> Savannah River Superfund Site Department of Energy—Oak Ridge, South Carolina <br /> 40 Environmental Inspector - Ms. Aponte created a probability distribution function (PDF) based on historical data to best <br /> represent the soil hydraulic conductivity values in support of future modeling endeavors. <br /> Rocky Flats Glove Boxes and Tanks Size Reduction—Department of Energy <br /> Environmental Inspector-She evaluated innovative technologies to support DOE clean-up efforts. <br /> Miami-Dade Empowerment Trust Inc.—Town Park Gardens Apartments <br /> Environmental Inspector—She was responsible for performing an Environmental Site Assessment Phase II. She evaluated <br /> potential environmental conditions identified in the Phase I to confirm the presence or absence of hazardous substances <br /> associated with the property. (Lead base paint, lead in soil, 8-RECRA Metals) <br /> Miami-Dade Empowerment Trust Inc.—Town Park Gardens Apartments <br /> Environmental Inspector- She performed an Environmental Site Assessment Phase I. <br /> Glove Box Crate Size Reduction Department of Energy— Los Alamos National Laboratory(LANL) <br /> Environmental Inspector who evaluated cutting technologies for glove box crate size reduction. <br /> Miami-Dade Transit Agency <br /> Environmental Inspector who performed an environmental site assessment Phase I. She evaluated potential environmental <br /> conditions at three intersections in support of the conceptual planning for construction activities for the existing busway. <br /> Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory—Department of Energy <br /> Environmental Inspector who performed an evaluation of Tech-Xtract and Hydrogen Peroxide chemical decontamination on <br /> metal surfaces contaminated with tritium. <br /> Savannah River Site Department of Energy—Oak Ridge, South Carolina <br /> Environmental Inspector who performed pilot scale for strippable coatings as a decontamination method for radioactive <br /> materials (Uranium). <br /> Pollution Prevention Assessment for the Citrus Industry in Florida(Thesis Project) <br /> Environmental Masters Student - She performed this thesis project for the Citrus Industry in Florida by following basic <br /> approaches of pollution prevention, which included quantification of waste streams, identification of prevention opportunities <br /> and introductory guidance to implement these opportunities.
