ROHAN PUNIT, El SITE DESIGN EXPERIENCE BC/FAU A. Hugh Adams Parking Garage Expansion, Davie, Florida—Broward College ® Project Engineer— Responsible for plans preparation and permit coordination. He assisted with drainage design to ensure proper conveyance with the existing system. As this was a design-build project,coordination among the contractors, clients, and owners was key to the successful completion of this job. Constant contact was maintained with the contractors to ensure quick turnaround times on RFI's and shop drawings. Project length: Not applicable. Seawall Repairs—City of Pompano Beach, Florida Project Engineer — This project includes repairing existing seawalls for Hillsboro Inlet Park and Indian Mound Park in the City of Pompano Beach. Repairs include replacing existing concrete piles and pile caps, sealing cracks along the seawalls and backfilling areas of undermining near wall joints. RJ Behar utilized an existing conditions report generated by the City to produce construction documents for contractors. These documents included various options for repairing deficiencies within the walls. Devine Park—Town of Davie, Florida Project Engineer—The Town of Davie contracted RJ Behar to convert a portion of the Devine Estates tree nursery into an equestrian park. Site elements include multi-use pedestrian/equestrian trails, a gazebo overlooking the existing pond, design of a drainfield for the proposed bathrooms, horse trailing parking and staging area for patrons and enclosure of the remaining tree nursery with associated maintenance access. Permitting entities include the Town of Davie, Central Broward Water Control District and Broward County Health Department. Hialeah Public Works Site Plan—City of Hialeah, Florida Project Engineer responsible for the site remodeling, demolition and reconstruction phase of the City of Hialeah Water and Sewer Department Complex. The project includes extensive utility coordination to coincide with construction phasing for the project, new site layout, new exfiltration trench drainage system and design of new water and sewer facilities to service site. E. 1n Avenue, E. 47th Street, E. 48th Street• Reconstruction—City of Hialeah, Florida Project Engineer for the design and production of roadway,drainage,signing and pavement marking plans. Sunrise Athletic Complex Additional Parking—City of Sunrise, Florida Project Engineer—He assisted with the plans preparation for this parking lot addition to the existing facility. WestWind Park—City of Lauderhill, Florida Project Engineer—He prepared the lighting layout plan. The scope of this project consisted of lighting improvements for the park's fitness trail and design of exercise equipment pads along the trail as well as construction inspections of same. BC & FAU A. Hugh Adams Parking Garage—Davie, Florida Project Engineer — He prepared site and drainage plans for the 5-level parking garage addition to the Broward College Central Campus. BC Central Campus Building #6— Davie, Florida Project Engineer—He provided the utility coordination with FPL including relocation of the existing electrical lines. BC Central Campus Building#5 Stairs Repairs—Davie, Florida Project Engineer — RJ Behar has been contracted by Broward College to provide engineering design services for the reconstruction of a two-story staircase, on the east side of the existing Building No. 5 located within the Central Campus in Davie, Florida. Mr. Punit provided CAD support, permitting and extensive coordination with the geotechnical and structural engineers during the construction period in order to have the stairs ready before the college re-opened. BC North Campus ADA Study—Davie, Florida Project Engineer responsible for a detailed ADA Evaluation Report identifying existing ADA deficiencies, evaluation notes, recommendations and alternatives, utility information, scope of work considerations and estimated cost of improvements for each area studied on the North Campus of Broward College. In total, 41 areas were studied for ADA deficiencies on the North Campus of Broward College. Of these, thirty-three were on the first floor of the campus while the other eight were located on the second floor. With the exception of five areas, deficiencies were noted for all locations studied. Three of the areas met enforceable ADA standards on the first floor and two areas met code on the second floor. In addition, thirty-one external pedestrian curb ramps were studied of which, only four met current enforceable ADA standards.
