<br /> Roadway Inspector - This was a federally funded project consisting of urbanized improvements at the 1-75 (SR-93) and
<br /> Pines Boulevard (SR-820) Interchange. The project includes modifying the existing interstate overpass, entrance and exit
<br /> ramps from a rural configuration to an urban configuration, as well as widening, signalization, landscaping, and access
<br /> management improvements along Pines Boulevard. "No-excuse Bonus" (250K) and "Incentive/Decentive" contracting
<br /> method utilized. Project Length: 1.3 Miles.
<br /> C-4 Conveyance Improvements, Miami-Dade County, Florida—South Florida Water Management District
<br /> Inspector—He provided full onsite inspection of the sheet pile cut off wall,drainage outfalls and swale construction. He also
<br /> supplied daily field reports and monitoring of the construction.
<br /> Southern CREW Imperial River Restoration—South Florida Water Management District
<br /> Senior Inspector— Provided full onsite inspection of the wetland restoration project, daily field reports and monitoring of the
<br /> construction. The scope of this project consisted of providing construction inspection services for the construction phase to
<br /> the Southern CREW Imperial River Restoration Project — Billy Don Grant Parcel Restoration. This project consisted of
<br /> constructing and restoring a freshwater wetland on a previous agricultural field. Project Size: 118 acres
<br /> Structure Inspection Program Non-Sta Structures—South Florida Water Management District
<br /> Senior inspector who accompanied the diving team while performing underwater inspections of 60 water control structures.
<br /> The overall Structure Inspection Program (SIP) objective was to systematically inspect water control structures owned or
<br /> operated by the District. These inspections were performed to ensure operational integrity and to avoid partial or total failure
<br /> that could endanger the lives and safety of the public. The scope of this project also included a Phase 2 inspection and
<br /> report of the S-65D Boat Lock. RJ Behar provided project management, civil, electrical and mechanical evaluation and
<br /> structural engineering inspection services for 31 culverts, 13 pump stations, 13 spillways and 2 weirs. RJ Behar also
<br /> coordinated the corrosion evaluation and a lead based paint evaluation.
<br /> Miami International Airport South Terminal Expansion Program— Dade Aviation Consultants, Miami, Florida
<br /> Lead Civil Inspector for a$680 million airport terminal and concourse facility. He performed detailed inspection of earthwork,
<br /> foundation, masonry, and structural concrete structures; inspected and monitored the taxiway and apron concrete and
<br /> ®
<br /> asphalt pavement construction operations; monitored and inspected baggage handling system installation operations,
<br /> architectural construction including power moving walkways and escalators, roofing installation, window and automatic door
<br /> installations, signage and markings, smoke alarm systems, performed auditing of the contractor quality control programs;
<br /> collaborated with the Owner, contractor and construction manager in project meetings. Finally, while installing the Noise
<br /> Barrier Wall in the Miami Airport, he performed oversight inspection of an auger cast pile foundation system designed by
<br /> San Martin and Associates Engineering to support the precast concrete panels.
<br /> North County Neighborhood Improvement Project—Broward County, Florida
<br /> Cost Estimator—He provided quantity takes off and cost estimating.
<br /> Sunrise Athletic Complex Additional Pkng.—City of Sunrise, Florida
<br /> Plans Reviewer-He provided modification details revision and development.
<br /> Town Engineer—Town of Southwest Ranches, Florida
<br /> Surveyor—He provided engineering and construction evaluation for road and land development projects.
<br /> FDOT Bridge and Roadway Construction Engineer
<br /> CEI Inspector— He provided assistance with the CEI program for the Thomasville Road Flyover project in the Tallahassee
<br /> area. He performed monitoring and testing of concrete and paving operations during the bridge construction and related
<br /> infrastructure, bridge superstructure steel assembly installation, MSE wall, deck construction, road infrastructure lay out,
<br /> construction, milling, resurfacing, road widening, surveying, and construction inspection. During the related infrastructure
<br /> construction, he inspected the installation of drainage structures, water retention ponds and street sidewalks, including
<br /> layout, excavation, base and subgrade construction, pavement application, pipe culverts, construction and installation of
<br /> wing walls. Incidental construction included installation of a wire mesh stabilizing system for the mechanical earth stabilized
<br /> wall installation, fencing, landscaping and erosion control, signalization, stripping and marking, traffic control devices. He
<br /> performed Plant Inspection for material production of concrete and asphalt. He monitored and inspected the paving
<br /> operations, including the collection of samples for testing of used materials, coordinated with the prime contractor for
<br /> cleaning and right-of-way issues, final estimates and quantities determination for payment measurements, recorded
<br /> construction on computation tests and densities books, daily reports documentation including contractors mobilization and
<br /> equipment on site verification, construction updates and quality control reporting to the department, punch list generation
<br /> and repairs verification.
