The purpose of the charrette is $50,000 <br /> • to involve the area's residents, property owners and stakeholders in a process for the <br /> urban redevelopment design of the area. The focus of the project is to guide the <br /> ® <br /> participation of the charrette to arrive at design alternatives for the establishment of a <br /> • community, pedestrian-oriented paradigm that related to the existing conditions and <br /> • needs of immediate communities. The area is predominantly residential, with some <br /> commercial, industrial and institutional uses. Of great advantage, the area is <br /> • characterized by a large quantity of park/open space, predominantly belonging to an <br /> • existing golf course. CGA will be responsible for coordinating all the efforts on behalf of <br /> Miami-Dade County, including staffing the event with in-house artists, architects, <br /> • designers, engineers and traffic engineers, as well as all community outreach and media <br /> ® coverage, in order to ensure a successful product. <br /> • Charrette-Northwest Dade Community Redevelopment Page 21 36 <br /> • <br />
