® T'z � <br /> I Calvin, Giordano 5 Associates, Inc. <br /> FL ' EXCEPTIONAL TOE U 1 ION S <br /> ® X11 3 <br /> Task 1 - Defining Project Parameters <br /> ® The first step to any landscape architectural project will ensure that the PM and the team are fully informed <br /> ® of the needs of the City's Staff, of the community and any relevant specificities of the each project to <br /> ® develop the parameters and tailor the methodology for development and delivery to ensure successful, on- <br /> time project and service delivery. Part of this process includes developing the goals and objective to serve <br /> ® as the metrics of the project,such as <br /> • Identifying all improvements and potential opportunities inherent in the project <br /> ® • Address sensitivity to any abutting or impacting residential properties <br /> ® • Identify what intersecting professions and disciplines need to be brought into the fold to ensure a <br /> ® seamless project <br /> ® • Develop Staff-approved task methodologies, timelines and project milestones <br /> • Accurately inventory and locate all improvements <br /> ® • Ensure that ADA access is at the genesis of providing upgrades and <br /> • Identify phasing considerations to ensure that the project takes into account any future improvements. <br /> ® Task 2 - Schematic Design And 30% Plans <br /> ® Based on the design parameters established in Task 1 design team will develop project designs for all <br /> components identified in the project parameters. <br /> ® 2.1 Inventory <br /> The CGA team will provide a inventory services to locate all existing improvements within and <br /> ® immediately abutting the project area. All character-improvements will be done via visual observation, <br /> which physical improvements may require a survey of the site,which will be verified for accuracy. <br /> 2.2 Site Analysis <br /> The CGA team will conduct a site analysis to identify all potential issues to be addressed in the <br /> 9 development and detailing of the project. <br /> 2.3 Initial Steering Meeting <br /> ® CGA will participate in an initial meeting with City staff to identify programming and design themes <br /> ® to be incorporated. <br /> ® 2.4 Existing and Demolition Plans <br /> 9 The CGA Team will prepare an existing plans defining the project area and identifying any existing <br /> ® elements that need to be demolished or removed,as well as the protective areas. <br /> ® 2.5 Schematic Layout <br /> ® Based upon initial City Staff input, and using inventoried information obtained, the CGA team will <br /> ® prepare a Schematic Layout that locates all planned improvements. CGA will present the <br /> preliminary layout to City Staff and receive direction on preferred modifications to form the basis of <br /> ® design for the 30% plans. <br /> ® 2.4 30% Construction Documents <br /> ® In this task CGA will refine the schematic design for all elements to reflect review comments and <br /> ® prepare and present 30% construction plans for planned features, including: <br /> ® • Layout and Geometry Plan • Landscape Enhancements <br /> 9 • Typical Construction Details • Use, Wayfinding, Distance and <br /> ® • Pedestrian Waysides Improvements Interpretive Elements <br /> • Preliminary Opinion of Cost Estimate <br /> ® RFQ#12-04-02,Landscape Architecture Page 41 3 <br />
